Mary was a virgin when she conceived. The Holy Spirit descended upon her. At the time of the conception of Mary and Joseph were already married, but Mary was engaged to Joseph (Matthew 1:18). This shows real charater of Joseph and Mary was pregnant out of wedlock would have brought great misfortune for her and her family in those days. Joseph, however, was determined to take care of things quietly. That's when she learned of the angel that Mary's pregnancy was the Spirit - conceived. I think each of us often question ourselves and our faith. I think belonging to a family of the Church is a great strength. We are after all the body of Christ. And as the body functions best with all its parts, so we can draw strength and reassurance of belonging. I found that when my faith is weak, then my family of the Church can render some of its forces to stay. I truly believe that God means for us to do it alone. That's why there is a community, Jesus did not do it alone. He had his disciples along the journey with him.

In fact, without trying to be rude or sarcastic, the answer is pretty easy. It was God. There was nothing to do with it humanely.

Mary miraculously conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit. Joseph was her husband at the time and this is not an invention. The Catholic Church is false and has no reason to leave.

God can do anything. After the Blessed Virgin Mary said: "Yes!" The Holy Spirit descended upon her and miraculously conceived. See Luke, Chapter 1: http://www.nccbuscc.org/nab/bible/luke/l ... With love in Christ.

God is great. Why do Catholics say that the Blessed Virgin Mary? This is a test that they pray. There is no evidence that Mary never spoke with God. Catholics would have us believe that Mary was Catholic and Jesus was a Catholic too. However, they were Jews. With love in Christ.
