In general, the Protestant denomination comes from a liturgical work things easier.
Much also depends on the religious form of the spouses. There are some beliefs of certain Protestant denominations which are polar opposit to Catholic beliefs, to the extent they are extreamly hostile to the Catholic faith.
Of note: The problem of mixed marriages is not religion. Rather it is the worldview that religion exists in. Some Protestant denominations have a worldview very different from standard orthodox Catholic world view.

Discussion about religion is one of the main reasons people fight if they are friends or associates. It is a very sensitive issue best left alone, especially when the parties involved are on opposite sides.
However, if both are mature enough and mutual respect for religion, and if you really love it though, then yes, Protestant and Catholic marriages can be successful. The same applies to Muslims, Christian marriages, etc.
I'm Catholic and Methodist. We've been together for over ten years. We respect each others beliefs and go to each others services. The "respect" part is what makes a successful marriage.
I do not see why not.
people who marry are different in many ways … differences so if you can accept each other and even learn something from it, that would be great.
my mom is Catholic and my dad is a Methodist, and have small problems. the two religions are not really big differences too.
There is no reason not to be. I am Christian Orthodox and Catholic my husband … we both believe in God and we are happy together. If both are not religious fanatics, then that's fine.
