  1. korban says:

The Catholic Church is the only true church lead at the rock called Peter.
The Pope is the successor of Peter's line.
Christ left a Church, a leader, a faith for all.
I am proud to be part of the true church is and was led to truth by the Holy Spirit.

  2. sunburst says:

All churches are run by humans, and humans are fallible. The Vatican is not worse than any other religious administration, higher profile and has only had more time to accumulate power and wealth than other religions.
Besides, the Catholic who thinks that does not change over time will harm the church in the long run, as the rigidity of its doctrine will cause more people to get out of it, which I think is very sad.
(On a lighter note, I visited Rome a few years ago and I thought the city was so beautiful, as is your country!)

  3. Boris says:

The Vatican itself is a very beautiful building. The policies that flow from it, however, are about 900 years back in time. While abandoned the Catholic Church still find some things to admire about her, like many things on it with which I agree.

  4. Perhaps I love you more says:

To tell you the truth, the Catholic Church has had its ups and downs, because of the people, man, using his influence got what they wanted for many years in the past. The Dark Age of reference is actually based on this fact.
But the Catholic Church, being an integral part of the body of Christ is perfect, because the body of Christ is perfect. Therefore, the Church is not governed by man, or running down a man, is governed by the Spirit of God as promised by Christ on the day of Pentecost.
Finally for those who want proof of good coming from the Catholic Church, they need look no further than their jobs, salaries (wages) and fair treatment. These were caused by the very notion of the Catholic Church and its doctrine in the late 1800s early 1900s that helped shape a just society today. One need look no further than the only church in the world to participate more actively in missionary work in the world, especially the care of the poor, sick and uneducated. Do not look beyond their own neighborhoods in which those who are poor get help from the local Catholic Church to pay electricity bills, school supplies and even food for their families.
To say that there is evidence of the good of the Catholic Church is not to be looking around you.
The Vatican is a beautiful city, adorned with riches donated and purchased during the centuries, but not the Catholic Church, the Church is simply the most perfect body of Christ, which all belong. It is a representation of the Church, a sacred place of worship, but not throughout the whole Church. It is the site of Peter's throne sits, the Papal State, the place that hosts the preacher's most valuable and Shepperd, the Pope, but again not the Pope who is the Spirit's guidance, the promise of Christ is what Pope does what he is.
God bless you and pray that this has helped in their own pursuit of truth.

I think it is a pinnacle of corruption. However, a very important milestone and some houses priceless art, information and secrets. I think it's a mistake to use "Vatican" interchangeably with "Catholic Church". The body of the followers of life (which technically is the Chruch) are not answerable for the crimes of the Vatican State.

  6. Jesus = the perfect Corner Stone says:

I'm not writing this hate. However, the file must be set straight. The CCR was in the wrong way since its inception. The poison of the devil and is pumped into the veins or even in all its members. When the church was organizing some people wanted to appease many people who had no idea of the difference between the right way and wrong way to worship God .. Most people could not read and had no access to books that became part of the Bible at that time. The leaders of the RCC had no intention of anything like that end up in the hands of the peasants * * without your control and influence which enabled them to know. At some point the Vatican kingdom was created to replace the kingdom of God and Excerto Roman influence in the politics of other governments to their advantage. Sad to say, but they hold more money and material goods instead of keeping only enough to live and pay the actual costs.
If they had used all for the benefit of all those who really need the help of many millions more would have died of hunger, etc. and have a place to live. Yes, used to provide in order to look good, keep as many members as possible and to trick new members to provide more support for its policies and Finacial endevours and profit. You may not realize, but almost nothing thats out in your church is anywhere in the Bible, the book is based on religion in demand you see they are fooling themselves … God knows the difference between truth and things that people are getting away with it.
BTW, the church came into existence because the Roman government was very aware of the many believers in their midst and considered a potential threat to its existence. Even when Christianity was banned and many were killed for their beliefs in their number is growing. Instead of having an opportunity that could become a force could not control that came with a new religion. They requested that the Catholic church already invented and taken from different religions to make it look more attractive. They were smart enough to know it was better to keep the masses in plain site … if the government adopted its existence, many think that you can participate. With government approval was easer to get spread quickly among its citizens. Thus, became the opium of the people helping the Romans to put down a lot of potential for growing the opposition.
Probably the biggest lie is that they were supporting an extension of Jesus * * first of the church. I looked into this. Peter was never a pope. All the apostles were dead before the RCC was formed so its impossible that none of them have been members of the RCC. Finally, after a while he introduced the title of Pope (which is independent from the position of Bishop - Just before that point interchangeable) and elevated the leader of a God-like status (called infallible below) of the RCC. Even Jesus chose Peter to build his church over which he was treated like the king or supreme leader of all, while the first church of Jesus was in existence. They were just that Jesus taught that Jesus is the one to hold that position.
The configuration of the RCC was mostly the same as the Pharisees that Jesus condemned outright. When you like the Pharisees who face the same fate (Jesus never changes). The members who remain in practice or just as they do have the same fate. I looked the term born again to see when it was discovered that in the Bible. The whole time of the Catholic Church has been in existence, with the Bible in his possession all that time never realized that being there. Only recently, after another out of his church began to point out not a few of them really encorporate in their studies, but most of them still are wrong to cling to many unbiblical things that the RCC disappearance of many on the road in recent days. The light shines in the darkness but the darkness has no power to overcome the light that comes from God. Smart people leaving the RCC instead of allowing themselves are still indoctrinated by the things that Jesus never taught.

  7. Veronica Alicia says:

The building itself is fantastic - I just spent several hours there on a cruise, a couple of years ago. We had a very good guide, but time was limited.
I'd love to visit one day, again with a good guide, and be able to spend much more time in the Church.
I am not a Christian, but if we are talking about the Catholic religion then I have no problem with people believing it is their strength and support through life. We all need a little help.

  8. Rev. Dr. Davis P. Tharayil says:

There are wonderful social science research available showing the secrets of the Vatican. You can read and understand for yourself the amount of money and politics are involved in the election of the popes (social phenomena). You can see everything under the sun, but not Christ.
You will not see the words as Roman Catholicism, the Pope, the Vatican, in the Word of God (the Bible). Please see for yourself.

  9. hopeof kingdom says:

It saddens me to say that I think the Vatican has usurped power with reason, not of the same. I think it's a total misreading of the original text to say that Peter was the one who was entrusted to the Church - was the same Jesus who was given full power when it was raised and ascended.
The Bible, particularly the New Testament has a direct and simple gospel which the Catholic Church has been distorted and rituals. The cult of Mary, purgatory, limbo, selling indulgences, transubstantiation, the Pope, confessionals, power at the scene of political and religious, anti-Semitism … are not part of the truth of the Gospel.
Even the priests. Do you realize that we are never told of a Christian priest "unique, different from Jesus as our mediator and high priest ..

  10. Maire says:

Hello Dany, that's a good question, but not for Yahoo! responses. Be careful, you're going to bring out all the most ignorant and bigoted anti-Catholic rants with such a question. But of course what has been written here is almost a compliment compared to what they would be if the question: what do you think about Islam?
      Peace out.

  11. eric w says:

For me, the Vatican is not Christian. The enormous wealth of the Catholic Church is totally opposed to the teachings of Christ.
The fact that Catholics are led by a former Hitler Youth is the height of hypocrisy and an insult to everyone.

  12. Mama Kate formerly preggo! says:

I think it is great! The church just to show off initiated by Christ in 33AD. I mean what other church has. The Catholic Church also provides all the tools that Christ gave us to attain salvation through the 7 Sacraments and His holy and sacred traditions, given to us directly by Jesus Christ. I love the Holy Father, who is making many of our old traditions back as the Tridentine Mass and the verbage in the Ordo Norvus. We as Catholics also have the Blessed Virgin and all the angels and saints in heaven to pray for the intercession and help.
I've been to the Vatican twice and twice walking through the door that was impressive impressed by the beauty of St. Peter s Basillica. The Catholic Church is the No. 1 donor of Charity and I am happy to say that I am a Catholic.
EDIT - sorry if I misspelled anything, my spell check is not working.

  13. ANTHONY B says:

Was removed from the truth of the gospel and holy priests cords between man and God, who corrupted the truth about justification by faith: he has invented the rules (as pharesees did in the days that Jesus walked on the land) and makes demands on men and women that the Bible simply can not.
Being Christian is not something the Church can do, no man can forgive sins confession to God is through Jesus: Jesus is our High Priest in heaven and the Bible tells us that there is a need for other : could continue, but I recommend you read any book written by Martin Luther.

  14. lykastar says:

I am not a Catholic or even Christian, but respect. However, it seems strange to accept the hypocrisy of the Big Bang, when so clearly contradicts what they claim God has said in his Holy Book.

  15. Maybe I'm Amazed says:

My husband and I are proud to be practicing Catholics and we continue to teach our faith to our two dear children.
So in answer to your question, I think very highly of the Vatican.

  16. Captain Bunkum says:

The headquarters of the religion too rich, powerful and influential than is the hypocrisy of pretending to help the poor and preach that meekness is a virtue

Hypocrites. Show me something good that has left the Vatican and will become. I know they are good people out there, but have you heard of the sisters in Africa who have been raped by priests RC?

  18. Mac says:

They are and always have been a political organization more interested in securing and maintaining control over the people whose express purpose of saving souls, or what these days to praise.

  19. Sentinel says:

Not the sort of questions you should ask here, since many anti-Catholics in this forum who love to blast their hate and venom against the Church, I warned you though.
