Where beliefs of Catholics Get?

Catholics all they do, they do so against Jesus Christ. The Bible says that worship and pray to Jesus because He alone can save. Catholics pray to Mary, the mother of Jesus. Do not you think that is against Christ? Accounts that came with rosemary? There's nothing like that in the Bible. His baptism is in the words of the title, Father, Son and Holyghost. The Bible clearly says to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. (Acts 2:38) Also, spray the water over the heads of people. The Bible also clearly states that is submerged under water for baptism. I do not mock the Catholic faith, but simply to see truth clearly. The truth is that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins Dirty Rotten. Mary, the mother of Jesus did not die on the cross. Mary can not save us, so why pray to her? Why the Pope never marry? The Bible says if a man meets a woman who has God's favor. Besides, where is the Pope in the Bible? Not here. Hmm ..

Let's see what questions one by one. Sorry if this is long, but the question is long.
"The Bible says that worship and pray to Jesus because He is the only one who can save him." - Catholics believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins.
"Catholics pray to Mary, the mother of Jesus. Do not you think that is against Christ? "
      - No, Jesus spoke to his mother, why not us? Catholics believe that all Christians are part of the body of Christ and, therefore, are closely interrelated. This friendship or family relationship does not end with death. I can ask to pray for me, or I can ask my deceased grandmother pray for me, or I can ask a saint to pray for me, or I may ask another saint, the only person in the entire Bible had been discussed in "full of grace" by an angel of God, pray for me. We worship God. We honor the people who actually have followed the will of God, our parents, grandparents, Mother Teresa, saints, including Mary.
"Who came up with drops of rosemary?"
      - There are different theories that came with a rosary. Prayer counters have been used in many religions for thousands of years. It is believed that the first religious monks, most of whom can not read, use the counters in the sentence, since the 150 psalms recited daily to help them track where they were.
"His baptism is in the words of the title, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Bible clearly says to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. (Acts 2:38) "
      - The last words of Jesus to the apostles in the Gospel of Matthew (28:19) were "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit."
"In addition, spraying water on people's heads. The Bible also clearly states that is submerged under water to be baptized. "
      - Sorry but I can not find the word hidden in connection with baptism in the Bible. People were baptized in a river, but beyond that I'm not sure. Please give me a verse to look up. When Jesus speaks of baptism, speaks of it with water, but not how.
"I do not mock the Catholic faith, but to clearly see the truth. The truth is that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins Dirty Rotten ".
      - We are all in search of truth and Catholics agree, Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins so.
"Mary, the mother of Jesus did not die on the cross. Mary can not save us, so why pray to her? "
      - See above. To ask for prayers only.
"Why the Pope never marry? The Bible says if a man meets a woman who has the favor of God. "
      - Jesus and John the Baptist did not marry. It's a long tradition in Judaism and Christianity that some people are totally dedicated to God and remain celibate.
"Besides, where is the Pope in the Bible? Not there. Hmm .. "
      - Matthew 16:17-19 says, "Jesus replied," Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this, but my heavenly Father. And now I say unto thee, thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I'll give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. "This is the main way that Catholics believe that Jesus made Peter the first pope.
The similarities between Catholicism and other Christian denominations are greater in number and more important than some differences.
      With love in Christ.

I am also a Christian. I attend the Gospel Chruch of God in Jesus Christ. In addition to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. " As ordered in the last chapter of Matthew.

    Many good answers.
This is a difficult question to answer briefly, but will do my best. Catholicism is based on Scripture and Tradition. Tradition is the oral teaching, experience, and expressions that have emerged throughout the history of the Church. To be precise: Catholic means universal and includes all Christian traditions.
Mary is not a cult, but given the special worship. People pray to Mary and ask her to include in their prayers. I include my family and friends who have been in my prayers every day. Does that mean you put them on Christ? No, of course not.
The rosary is an excellent way to help focus our attention on God, and open to the Holy Spirit. Many religions use a version of the rosary. Used to help concentrate the mind in prayer and quiet the mind.
And if you read Matthew Jesus commanded to find out baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
All traditions are valid provided that express love and salvation offered through a merciful Father in Heaven.
      Peace be with you
      + Michael

Since then I have copied the article that appears in the May / June 2006 issue of Good News in http://www.gnmagazine.org/issues/gn64/co … seems that Roman Emporer Constantine received the ball in motion. I am sure that many popes and bishops added. The literature also offered free by the people Good News goes into more detail on this subject.

A lot of man-made doctrine … those not coming from the Word of God … but that is a lot of denominational churches … not just Catholics.

You have come to this question in his mind is already made.
I am not Catholic, but even I know it's not "Rosemary's accounts" is "string" for your facts straight before you start criticizing.
You believe that Jesus is your Savior, pray to Mary because she was holy and pure.
Neither side can prove they are right, why not let the Catholics have faith and keep your own, rather than arguing from a position of ignorance about something nobody can prove one way or another?

  11. man of ape says:

Why Catholics, Judaism, why not doing what Jesus said? Whenever Catholics, when that was the main religion in America, we all had a sense of what God wanted, I was raised Catholic and I never thought anything like you mentioned, Jesus is still the main topic, just done in a way non-Catholic, something like Judaism, going to a Catholic church about a year and learn what happens, you will love yourself more than ever and yet know Jesus, religion forgive

  12. byhisgra says:

The Catholic Church gets all his leadership of the Pope, who is seen as an emissary of Christ to the world. Not in my opinion, but that is their point of view. Many of the Catholic beliefs such as purgatory and no indulgence is not biblical, but infer the power of the pope by a brief section in the Bible - Matthew 16:18-19 (it is believed that Peter was the first pope, appointed by Jesus himself - hence the St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican) —
"And I say that you are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. "

wow too many Qs … but I'll answer the first … Catholics get the pope's beliefs …

  15. brougham says:

I'm Catholic, and this is what we were taught.
Our beliefs are based on two sources: Scripture and Tradition. Both are considered when making the doctrine, but sometimes tradition is outdated. But we also consider the socio-historical context it was written in Scripture, so do not interpret the Bible literally. Thus, there always has to make a literal version of baptism that you described in Acts, although originally it is the way in which the baptism took place in the Catholic Church.
We do not pray to Mary, Mother of God, but before its images. We think of her and ask her intercession with God and Jesus. She is not a god, or revered as a god, but has a special place in God's plan for the land, culminating in the birth of Jesus and the ultimate intervention in history.
The Pope and the priests do not marry as a matter of practical concern for most. He devotes all his time to church and have given all the distractions of their duties to the Church and its people. If married, would have much less time to meet the spiritual needs of nearly 1 billion people!
As noted above, the primacy of the papacy is based on Jesus' words to Peter. However, the Bishop of Rome was not immediately recognized as the Supreme Pontiff of the Church, although it is a totally different story.
I hope you are genuinely interested in learning about Catholocism for you to enter a meaningful dialogue with other religions. However, I can see how words can be very sarcastic, but not meant to be. You must be careful, diplomatic and intelligent with what you say and how you say.

Do not worry, I am Catholic and have not offended. I call a "mild" BC Catholic I agree with my faith a lot. The main reason why the cult of Mary, at least for me, is before Christ that is still a virgin til "married, gave birth to Jesus and was able to help you grow and be able to do all wonderful things that are said to have done.

  18. fiesty.b says:

Conclusion not worship Mary, the Pope or the Saints. Jesus alone. We got our beleifs of the Bible. Do some research found that what we do comes from the Bible and Jesus.
I seriously do not think there is a Catholic Libby, if she would not have said that the cult of Mary. I'm Catholic and I'm not offenes at all. But what bothers me somewhat is when people lie about my religion or any other for that matter.

  19. lanloo82 says:

You have a lot of questions. I think we should ask Jesus.

  20. lupis_no says:

In fact, you probably have beliefs of Catholics, so you better watch what they say about them … ;)
The Catholic Church was the Christian church until the year 1500, we are talking about Wal-Mart of religion. Then, a little upstart named Martin Luther kickstart a movement called the Reformation, that really stirred things of God, Inc. It was then that the opposition groups began the breakup of the main church and essentially composing his own religion based on Catholicism. The biggies in that time were Protestants and Lutherans, who later went on to have their own problems, especially sub-cultured separated from them.
In a broad sense, the Catholic Church has the same relationship with their cults that Judaism split in Christianity.
Also, many religions to choose from? Too many versions of it? Make the smart choice, choose any of the above … ;)

  21. Bapboy says:

Wow how do you answer a question like this.
Many religions are many, many are based on the interpretation of the Bible and that in itself is problematic because not a single book but a collection of many, many books, all by different authors. So it's no wonder that many facts, beliefs and practices contradict each other. The Bible is not a rule book on how to worship, but rather a massive resource in many religions base their beliefs. There is no "right" way to baptize someone, it's all about belief and faith. Judaism, Christianity, Catholicism, and many others, are based on the Bible itself, however, they all do things differently, all that will take the Bible and interpret it as they wish. You speak of truth. But religion is not about truth, it is faith.
Catholicism, in particular, has also been shaped by years and years of social pressures, attitudes and political history. Much of what they do now through practices do so because that is how I have always done. And the question is like asking seomone eat with knife and fork or why keep their breasts covered.
