Why Catholic priest never go to jail for sexual abuse when every other person does?

because the people of God are above the law. Only a religious figure could get away with having sex with minors in the church is soo sad that these losers trust with our children … Is not it strange that members of the church can not beat the wife and not have sex with her son, and while they say a Hail Mary couple is having a narrow path to heaven? but I'm going to hell because I spend my time with my family on Sunday instead of giving my money to the church so they can give the family of children raped spiritual leaders. If there is a god (actually I doubt it) it's very f * cked to let these things go on in his name .. But do not worry God was formed to try to bring us all together as human beings, using fear as a motivator .. Do we really need an old book that tell us not to have sex with the woman of our neighbors? To be kind to each other, not to kill? Stay away from big churches have lost there in a long, long time ago! and not leave them alone with their children (especially children)

The Catholic Church has the monetary funds to settle the case out of court. Usually, only pay the victims.

Some actually have, of course, the Jehovah's Witnesses cases of abuse are even worse than the Catholics.

Actually, several. The Catholic Church was always good about shuffling priests accused of sexual crimes, rather than turning on themselves and the police. Now that politics is coming back to bite you in the *** in a big $ $ $ $ way. Personally, I think if Catholic priests allowed to marry, there would be many oppressed sexual wierdos join the priesthood.

Note that many of the cases against priests are decades old, long before the statue of limitations for criminal proceedings. In some cases, beyond the statue of limitations on civil rights, however, I learned that the California legislature effectively suspended the statue so that the people who was abused 40 years ago could sue civilly to the Church. That is so unfair. What about people who were abused by their father, grandfather, aunt or uncle 40 years ago? If they can not sue his family because time is up in accordance with the law, so why the legislature did not attack the Church biasly and relaxing of the law only against the Church?

Many, but 90% of cases are heard now involve abuse that occurred decades ago - as well as cases settled in Los Angeles this week. Most cases are from the 50s and 60s, before the Catholic Church supposedly put rules in place to stop the pedophile priests, and in many cases, PRSPs are now dead. The church used to sweep under the rug and say that the law does not require them to notify the authorities, so no, and trials are now losing left and right because they protect thousands of children of the priests who were known they were dangerous.
