The Catholic Church is a business and as such can not comply with the bad press that would give hard-core Catholics to think twice about his commitment to the Church. Remember not to allow priests to marry, because then they could leave the church's wealth to their children in the old days. It is a greedy, avaricious establishment. Watch how children are being treated in Uganda and other countries. Children are small and weak. They are easily exploited by vile people worldwide. If the arrests were made to all bishops and superiors in cases of child abuse, perhaps it could be a gap in the number of abused children. I had renounced the Catholic Church before he was confirmed in 13 or 14. They do not do things right and who is not only good enough for me. I hope that is critical to expose the truth in your area. I'm behind you all the way. Wrong is wrong, period.

I think the Catholic Church sees itself as an entity separate from the civil law and society. It exists within her, but not necessarily convinced that it is its object. Not that is beyond the law, but sees itself as self-sustaining and a law unto itself. This means, feel they have the right to judge the acts of misconduct by themselves, and allocate adequate punishments on their own. Therefore, having a priest raised in civil charges would be equivalent to that charged twice for the same offense, by two different courts. They believe that his court is sufficient for the crimes committed by clergy. This is just my opinion and guess.

Because the Catholic Church does not want to admit he was wrong or that their priests are immoral. I'm a Catholic in Ireland and it's hard to take the Church seriously. We have horror stories about priests abusing young children, physical abuse that young people got in the Christian Brothers' schools and young pregnant women in the Magdalene Laundry, yet stand in the pulpit every Sunday preaching "love of neighbor and" turn the other cheek. " If messengers of the gods on earth "are not able to spread his love, I see how the normal soap, Joe can as well. Hyprocrites. And yes, bishops must be charged. Is not there something in the law on ADing abeiting and a criminal, or stand in the way of prosecution.

I live in Ireland too, I know excatly what you mean, I do not think it would just be a great thing if priests were allowed to marry ... although it has been happening for centuries, and I suppose that could account only get away with it, but now these days are not as more people are talking. But it is the same for all, not going to be someone somewhere who think they can get away with it so you can try your luck. And most people because they do not demonstrate that says says says says, etc. So it is usually fought out and the victim is a "liar" by ... It is so terrible that many rape victims can not put their attackers behind bars because the system is not made for the victim and who is wrong. Everything needs to be changed, and soon!

For the same reason, child abuse within a family is rarely reported: keep it in the family. Do not wash your dirty linen in public. We can handle this ourselves. Do you really expect more?

1 lets be honest the Pope would have no way of knowing about individual priests unless someone told him about them and that is unlikely. As the bishops were just moving around priests who had problems of pedophilia are also responsible for what happened. In its position that should have been the protection of children as the Bible says that any prejudice against the fear of them (children) is a sin and that God will answer if he knew and did not act appropriately. Now the latest generation also makes the legal system handled it both? We'll never know. I think the Catholic church should have removed these priests and gave them to let police handle it and many of these children have never been touched. This has been a very sad topic has been happening for generations and somehow these people realized that it could become priests and just do what I wanted. I hope the Catholic Church in the future needs more time to learn about their priests before letting them be around children.
