AL, so if neither consubstantiation then what do you think?
Many of us have to "transignification. That items symbolically represent the blood and body of Christ.

im Lutheran is actually a Catholic convert. I think the simple answer here is both religions dont know everything about the faith of others.
In confirmation, we learned everything we know as Lutherans do you? And I know I learned some things that were wrong about Catholics. In my Lutheran confirmation classes, I learned that Catholics are "guilty" all the time, and believe that you have to go through steps to get to heaven. none of which are true.
Its just a stereotype, because neither the faith, he knows everything about each other. But we are so closely related, its easy to try to discuss things that arent safe to start.

I'm with you, Anon. I'm tired of explaining the difference. And if you look at the site of any good Lutheran, to see who disbelieve consubstantiation, ie, goes against the teaching of the sacramental union.
consubstantiation: See, falsely accused to Lutheranism, which (the bread and body shape 1 "substance substance 3D"), the communion (like wine and the blood) or the body and blood are present, as bread and wine in a natural way.

Luther's Small Catechism, explanation (which if I remember not put much stock in any event, but most of the seminarians have to study):
289 Q: What are the visible elements in the sacrament?
A: The visible elements are the bread and wine.
Q 290: do body and blood of Christ in the sacrament of replacing the bread and wine, so that the bread and wine are no longer there?
A: NO (emphasis added), the bread and wine remain in the sacrament.
291 Q: How then are the bread and wine in the Sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ?
A: The bread and wine in the sacrament are the body and blood of Christ through the sacramental union (emphasis added). By the power of His Word, Christ gives his body and blood, with (emphasis added), and under the consecrated (blessed) bread and wine.
Sounds like the Shepherd of art may have a case. . . but it is nothing like the Lutherans to discuss something not stay out of heaven. That's the main reason (one of them) I only LCMS default.

Martin Luther believed in consubstantiation.
The definition of consubstantiation is that it is the true body and blood of Jesus, but the physical elements do not change.

We say this because that's what Martin Luther taught and you are a Lutheran - hence, a follower of Luther. You can not believe it, but the majority of Lutherans in reality.
Be happy also not "accuse" Nazi anti-Semitism that Luther was guilty.

Lutheran Church of Brazil and I have the same problem, I guess it's because of the assumption that Luther denied the transubstanciation as they should have chosen "the opposite direction, ie consubstanciation.
However, there could be more wrong in this matter. We as Lutherans belieive in sacramental union. And that was the position of Martin Luther on the issue.
Anyway I think the main problem is about not being interested in learning about us, but just trying to show their frustration over their options. Apparently, those who attack the religion of other people have unresolved problems and unmet needs on their own beliefs.
If Catholics were very aware and satisfied with their faith, never spend so much time and energy trying to belitlle our worship.

So why do not you explain what Lutherans believe in that sense? They do not believe in transubstantiation, right?
