A question for Catholics …?
I had a question about Mary, the mother of Jesus … Where does it say in the Bible that Mary was born of the Immaculate Conception? I have a friend who is Catholic and believes that Mary was a sin, she was perfectly innocent and born .. Can anyone point me to the script that shows this? Furthermore, why did not God to Mary is the sacrifice for our sins, if he was without sin (as Jesus)?

This is a good question. Go and ask your friend himself if he / / she reads the Bible and he / she will say no. Therefore, all these things he / she tells the stories are made by the Roman Catholic Church, among many others. Now you know why the Reformed Church was formed and separated from the Roman Catholic Church, because what we teach is not biblical.
Mary died and never came because he was a sinner like the rest of us.
To say Mary is without sin is to deny the power of Christ and this is the sin of the Catholic Church today.
The Catholic Church owns the copyright of the Bible. St. Augustine, helped collect the books of the Bible in the fourth century. The Church has the final say in interpreting Scripture.
A most beautiful passage from the Book of Proverbs is attributed to the Blessed Virgin Mary as the Immaculate Conception:
"The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before doing any thing from the beginning. 23 I was set up from eternity, and the age before the land was 24. The fund were not yet, and I was conceived. none of them had water sources sprouted yet: 25 The mountains with their huge bulk had not yet been established: before the hills was I brought forth:
26 It had made the earth, nor rivers, nor the poles of the world. 27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when a certain law and compass attached deep: 28 When it established the heavens, and ready sources of water: 29 When surrounded the sea with its bounds, and establish a law for waters should not pass their limits: to be a balance between the foundations of the earth 30 years was with him forming all things, and was delighted every day, playing before him at all times;
31 Playing in the world, and my delight was to be with the children of men. 32 Now therefore, my sons, hear me: Blessed are they that keep my ways. 33 Hear and be wise, and refuse, no. 34 Blessed is the man who hears me, and that daily Haunts my doors, and looked at the posts of my doors. 35 He finds me findeth life, and have the salvation of the Lord "
Only a false doctrine of the Church / System.
You do not find, is another tradition. If you believe that she was sinless, then denying that God came in the flesh (another Sighn the Antichrist) because his saying he still has not lowered enough on the human level.
She is dead and awaiting Christ's return.
Ignore the ants - makes a hell of a difference. I can not believe you said that.
Goodfri .. - It's all mixed up my friend. Absolutley Mary has nothing to do with salvation and never roll what you give to make of Christ, and deny him as the only way.
Eric - I had a look, what many Dripple. why cannot people just read the Bible and let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart. no need to start adding storys.
Deu 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, and ye shall not lessen it, but keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
As far as I know, the Immaculate Conception is not explicitly mentioned in Scripture, but in reality it can be deduced. Mary leads to Jesus, is compared with the Ark of the Covenant carry law. The Law is the Old Testament, Jesus is the New Testament. Thus, Mary is the ark to the New Testament, God incarnate himself. Maria should be entirely free of sin, to bring God incarnate, so that we infer.
Yes, both Mary and Jesus was without sin, but is mixed up ends and means. The amount of the absence of sin, is the same. The media are very different. Jesus was without sin because he was not only men but to God. His being from God and man is the reason for their sacrifice was significant. The reason for Mary without sin was simply to take Jesus, and so God preserved her from sin.
God bless
there's nothing that says, and is taught through tradition. Your friend can choose to believe that if he wants, and can not believe it, its importance and makes no difference one way or another, but it seems to create well-deserved honor to Mary.
I'm not Catholic, but this site seems to have what you're looking for.
