No, not rich. Rich shoes, cars, etc question? They are all gifts. His great-grandparents NEVER sold because they were traditional gifts. The Vatican is a traditional area where I did not. Americans started to sell the gifts they receive on birthdays, etc., so obviously you add shoes, car, etc in the image. But what about the paintings? Ah, you mean the most expensive of Da Vinci, etc? Sure, the Vatican should sell to private owners who will never show anyone anymore, unless you pay lots of money or you can follow where they were, of past centuries. This is my favorite: Have you seen the Vatican's income and expenses? This is what the CIA gives the Americans. "Revenues: 310 million U.S. dollars cost: 307 million U.S. dollars (2006) " NICE, 3 million to spare. 3 million is not much more. BEFORE ME GIVE YOU A Thumbs Down Lurker anti-Catholic ... I just proved to you through the CIA that the Catholic Church is not rich. Please believe me, for now, I give you the prize I'm An Idiot. EDIT: Please see "Gandalfs" after a couple above mine. Do not you love when people do not give sources? Sure. LOL DOUBLE EDIT: 5 Point Calvinist .... the same ... I like your source! LOL

The assets and earnings of the Vatican bank are not disclosed but has been sued for everything from laundering money taken from Jews during the Holocaust for money laundering for the Mafia. It claims that it has 2 million pounds in assets under management. Value of the Vatican and in general the art collection of the church is not known, but most experts say there is not enough money in the world known only to the treasures in the Vatican Museum. • The Vatican Bank, the Istituto per le Opere di Religione, manages EUR 2 billion of assets. It does not reveal its profits or dividends that are paid directly to the Pope. Enjoys the status of a central bank and has a trading room adorned with crucifixes and portraits of Pope, where 20 traders work. • Despite the Vatican's assets, including the art collection in the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, which depends heavily on support from U.S. dioceses. • The Pope has more than 1,000 apartments in Rome. Vatican-owned bank, made a profit of 25.7bn lira in 1998, equivalent to about £ 10 million at the time. • The Vatican had a balance of 2.5 billion lire in 1998, then worth about £ 1m. He costs about 336bn lira (£ 106m) and revenues of about 338bn lira (£ 107m). • The 2,500 officers of the papal curia has a combined payroll of 140bn lira (£ 44m). • The 20,000 parishes in the United States had revenues of $ 7.5bn (£ 5.18bn)) in 2000, of which $ 6.5 billion went to cover expenses and $ 1bn subsidized Catholic schools. • In the 1980s the Vatican Bank was forced to pay $ 241M for his part in the collapse of Banco Ambrosiano. Roberto Calvi, who had been advising the Vatican on relations with the bank, was found hanging from a rope beneath Blackfriars Bridge. • Cardinal Roger Mahony of Los Angeles, the man who could be the first Pope of America has been building a new cathedral in the last four years. The cost is now estimated at nearly $ 200 million.

God is the judge, not me. I think the challenge is to teach ourselves to go slow in forming our opinions of others and, more importantly, to seek out their good qualities. As a Catholic, I can only answer your question in this case; believe and trust in Christ (John 3:16); repent and be baptized in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit for the remission of sins (Matthew 28:19, John 3:3-5, Acts 2:38); obey the will of the Father, and keep the commandments (Matthew 7:21, Matthew 19:16-19); eat the Body of Christ (John 6:51-69) - but not unworthily, and only after discerning the body of the Lord that we do not come into condemnation ourselves (I Corinthians 11:23-30); judge ourselves (1 Corinthians 11:28-31), and when we fall, we confess our sins to those whom Christ has given authority to forgive sins in His name and obey authority when it comes to what is bound and loosed (Matthew 9:5-8, Matthew 18:18, John 20:21-23, 2 Corinthians 5:18); love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31).

The Catholic church would sell 20% of their artwork and only feed a starving country for 10 years.

En serio yo soy católico y no tengo ningún problema de dar a la iglesia porque nuestra parroquia hace tanto por la comunidad local. But honestly is not even a question and I find it annoying.
