Christians and Muslims, following their respective religions, point to the truth of the sanctity and dignity of the person. This is the basis of our mutual respect and esteem, this is the basis for cooperation in the service of peace among nations and peoples, the dearest wish of all believers and all people of goodwill.
As an example of the fraternal respect with which Christians and Muslims can work together, let me quote some words addressed by Pope Gregory VII in 1076 to a Muslim prince in North Africa who had acted with great benevolence towards the Christians under his jurisdiction. Pope Gregory spoke of the particular charity that Christians and Muslims owe each other "because we believe in one God, albeit in a different way, and because praise and worship him every day as the Creator and Lord of the world. "

Good Luck. They are not the same. Both say there is one God. But the Christian God is a God of love and mercy.
The first type is wrong. Time has past / present / future all at once. The concept of the eternal NOW. All this comes at a time. This is a very complex idea, like the idea of the Trinity.

I've never seen any official Catholic document saying that the Christian God and the deity they profess Muslims are the same. However, I have seen the papal encyclicals (in particular, "John Paul II, Redemptor Hominis", paragraph 29) that "expressed his esteem for the believers of Islam, whose faith is also to Abraham." That's probably the closest one is going to get, as the Catholic Church is very conscious of the fact that the God of Christianity has a triune or three-person ontology, while the deity espoused by Muslims has a monadic ontology.
On a side note, I would say the answer is wrong Kedar Azaan on the water. The water analogy works pretty well, as you can have a whole body substance that is H2O (in the sense of preaching) and the parties are different in different states (as he has been part of a body to freeze the water, or part of a body of water evaporates?).
For what it's worth, I am a former Muslim who intends to convert to Catholicism.

In the Middle East all Jews, Christians and Muslims call their God as God.
However, there are some differences. Allah in Christian also known as "the Father" and presents Jesus as his Son. Together with the Holy Spirit, become a god.
In Islam, God is one God. Allah has no son and no less ally. Allah is the Almighty.
Say: He is Allah, the One;
God, the Eternal;
He has not begotten, nor is He begotten;
And no one like him. "

Jehovah had fathered a son called Jesus.
Act 13:33, 1JO 5:1, Ps 2:7 I will declare the decree: Jehovah said, Thou [art] my son, I have begotten you.
Allah was the Supreme God of 99 other gods at a shrine of the moon. Allah had three daughters and no sons. One daughter is still revered today as a stone in the shrine.

I'm sure there are plenty of sources on the Internet and find you, but Christians and Muslims worship the same God, but Muslims reject Christ as the Savior of the world and regard this only as a prophet, a failure.
