That is the only right thing for a father to say

I simply say to the search for his soul, and to consider everything. If you feel that this is the right thing to do, then give him a ride to the seminar.

I would support him 100%
My advice would be to pray and make sure this is what God has planned for you. Being a priest is not easy work. Apart from the personal sacrifices, will be called out at all hours of day and night to care for the sick and dying - and those who only need someone to talk to.

Read more in Exodus, where God commanded Moses to build an ark to the commandments - Do not tell him where cheribim - gold no less? Or later, when God commanded Moses to build a staff with a snake in it and all who are bitten by the snake must bow to it and be cured?

Go for it! My 16 years old, goes that way we're trying to help anyway we can to discern their vocation. We live in an era in which many ignore the call. Future generations need good priests.

I'm not Catholic, so that's not why I'm saying this, but I think it is a vocation perfectly. There are plenty of good men who are priests. I think I should support him and help him be one of the good.
