Please Tell Me What You Know about the differences between Catholics and Christians?
From what I hear, not Catholics, not only worship God, but Mary also. I do not mean to sound stereotypical. I was wondering. My friends are Catholic, but I am a Christian. I do not know how our beliefs differ or anything because we do not talk too much. Please do not leave rude comments.
- Why do some Protestants believe that Catholics are not Christians?
- Non-Catholic Christians: their beliefs about Catholics?
- What are the differences between Catholics and Protestants? What are the characteristics of the Anglican / epicospal?
- What is the difference between Catholics and Christians?
- Talking about "Mary-worship": the differences of religious or political issue, what do you think?

Catholics are Christians - who are a sect of Christianity, such as Lutheranism and Methodism, etc, etc. .. They just appear different.
But all this still means that they are Christians!
Catholics have a tradition of asking Mary and the saints to intercede for them - that means asking them to pray for them, like you ask friends to pray for you. They do not worship Mary - they are simply asked to pray for them. That's the way it works.
Catholics believe that the basic tenets of Christianity - that Jesus was the Son of God who died to save mankind from their sins and rose again the third day. They have other rituals that have maintained a long tradition that comes from the writings of church fathers like St. Augustine and St. Jerome. They adhere to the tenants of the Nicene and Apostles' Creed.
One of the biggest things that Catholics believe that not everyone agrees on Chrsitians is the meaning of Holy Communion, called the Eucharist. Most non-denominational churches and Protestants see it as a simple commemeration of the Last Supper. Catholics believe that when they receive the Eucharist bread and wine actually become the body and blood of Christ. They have since the verse in the Gospel of John that says: "Unless you eat my flesh and drinks my blood will not enter the kingdom of heaven." I think it is in Chapter 5, or something.
Catholics have seven sacraments, which are acts by which a person receives God's grace. They are baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Confession, Holy Orders, Marriage and Anointing of the Sick / Last Rites.
This is the basic outline of Catholicism as I understand it. Hope this helps.
There are many different forms of Christianity and Catholicism is only one of them. many times the differences are very small. chatholics not worship mary. their friends are Christians, but have been baptized in a specific form of Christianity. one of the major differences separating Catholics from other Christians is that in the Catholic Church there are no women priests, and priests may not marry.
I think you're right. but South Park says cathlics only enter heaven
Catholics are true Christians, all others are aspiring to jump ship, who call themselves Christians but really are not, and just because you say you follow Christ dose not make you a Christian, Catholicism was started by Peter, not someone who is unhappy with the church and then goes to start his own Christian name called, as so many have done. peace on your journey.
Catholicism is Christianity. Sorry, but I find offensive to their office. We worship only God.
Catholics are Christians.
one is easy and the other has strict Jewish ritual ceremony and
BUT
one might be right and the other must be wrong
peace
For all I know that Catholics are Christians
Anyone from a sect of European Xian has to understand that their sect splintered (possibility on several occasions) of the Holy Roman Church.
In other words - All Catholics are Xian Xians but not all are Catholics.
It is up to the sects.

Catholics are Christians and worship God. We do not pray to or worship of Mary
Catholic Christian
A fight between Christians is a Christian.
Even though Catholics are heretics.
Catholics are Christians - one of the first names, actually. Catholics and Protestants are the denominations of Christianity.
I really wish people would start talking about them as if Catholicism and Christianity are two different things. Read a few history books, for heaven's sake.
Sorry sweety, but contrary to what was said, Catholics are Christians. How are Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses.
I do not mean to stereotype, but I am surprised that you can figure out how to use a computer. (sorry, but this question is asked almost every day)
1.Catholics are Christians, the original Christians, the only Christ that can track,
2. No, do not worship Mary. We pray to Mary, along with other saints to intercede for us in the same way that asking someone to pray for you.
Catholics are Christians wroship God, not Mary.
Your friends are Christians. We do not worship Mary, but revered as the Mother of Jesus, and as our spiritual mother. We do not believe she can do miracles, but that Jesus listens to her, like her mother, and for this we ask your prayers.
Catholics do not worship Mary just honor her for being the mother of Christ. Christians are people who worship God w / c means Catholicism is Christian. Christian is the general term for Protestants, Catholics, etc.
Sounds like you've heard so much about the fight against Catholic information. Catholics are Christians!
* Sighs * There is none. They are Christians. Not the cult of Mary, honey, you ask them to help talk to God in their support.
