Question Catholicism?
I have been getting more and more interested in Catholicism in recent years. I understand a lot about him, but I still have a question.
Could someone explain why Catholics pray to Mary? I do not understand. I'm curious.
Thanks for responding!

The issue of Catholics praying to saints is one that is full of confusion. It is the official position of the Catholic Church that Catholics do not pray to saints or Mary, but rather that Catholics can ask saints or Mary to pray for them. The official position of the Roman Catholic Church is that asking saints for their prayers is no different than asking someone here on earth to pray for you. However, the practice of many Catholics away from the official Catholic teaching. Many Catholics do in fact pray directly to saints and / or Mary, asking for help - instead of asking the saints or Mary to intercede with God for help. Whatever the case, if a saint or Mary praying, or asked to pray or practice has no biblical basis.
The Bible nowhere instructs believers in Christ to pray to anyone but God. The Bible nowhere encourages, or even mentions, believers in heaven asking people for their prayers. Why, then, many Catholics pray to Mary and / or the saints, or request their prayers? Catholics view Mary and saints as "intercessors" before God. They believe that a saint who is glorified in heaven, has more "direct access" to God than us. Therefore, if a saint offers a prayer to God, is more effective than us praying to God directly. This concept is clearly unbiblical. Hebrews 4:16 tells us that we believers here on earth, can "… approach the throne of grace with confidence … "
1 Timothy 2:5 states, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus." No one else can mediate with God for us. If Jesus is the only mediator, indicating that Mary and the saints can not be mediators. They can not mediate our prayer requests to God. Furthermore, the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ Himself intercedes for us before the Father, "Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them" (Hebrews 7 : 25). With Jesus himself intercedes for us, why we need Mary or the saints to intercede for us? Who would listen to God closer to His Son? Romans 8:26-27 describes the Holy Spirit intercedes for us. With the 2 and 3 of the members of the Trinity already interceding for us before the Father in heaven, what need is there possibility could be that Mary or the saints intercede for us?
Catholics argue that praying to Mary and the saints is no different than asking someone here on earth to pray for you. Let's examine that claim. (1) The Apostle Paul asks other Christians to pray for him in Ephesians 6:19. Many Scriptures describe believers praying for one another (2 Corinthians 1:11, Ephesians 1:16, Philippians 1:19, 2 Timothy 1:3). The Bible mentions no one anywhere ask someone in heaven to pray for them. The Bible nowhere describes anyone in Heaven praying for anyone on earth. (2) The Bible gives absolutely no indication that Mary or the saints can hear our prayers. Mary and the saints are not omniscient. Even glorified in heaven, remain finite beings with limitations. How is it possible to hear the prayers of millions? Whenever the Bible mentions praying or talking to the dead, is in the context of witchcraft, sorcery, necromancy and divination - activities the Bible strongly condemns (Leviticus 20:27, Deuteronomy 18:10-13). The only case in which a "saint" spoken to Samuel in 1 Samuel 28:7-19, Samuel was not exactly happy to be disturbed. It is clearly evident that prayer to Mary or the saints is quite different from asking someone here on earth to pray for you. One has a solid biblical basis and the other has no biblical basis whatsoever.
God does answer prayer on the grounds that he is praying. God answers prayers based on whether they are asked according to His will (1 John 5:14-15). There is absolutely no basis or need to pray to anyone but God. There is no basis for asking those in heaven pray for us. Only God can hear our prayers. Only God can answer our prayers. No one in heaven is greater access to the throne of God that we do through prayer (Hebrews 4:16).
Mary is the mother of Jesus, she gave birth to him, who raised and loved it, it was his first disciple.
When Catholics "pray" to Mary, they are not really pray to it, but in his honor.
Ask yourself, "Have I ever asked a friend to pray for me? Have I prayed for a friend? "That's what happens to Mary, do not pray to her for results, we ask you to pray for us.
Mary is the Mother of God, and pure, as a result of being born without original sin. She lived on earth in human form, but for who he was, ascended to heaven. She is a Goddess, but not quite human, either, something like the Christ in this regard. Catholics pray to her as an intermediary, as they pray to Christ as an intermediary. Having lived on earth, yet so close to God …
because you called the Mother of God.
Catholics venerate Mary by Mary there would be no Jesus, not the Catholic Church. Catholics also believe that the saints can hear prayers and intercede on behalf of the petitioner. It takes some of the pressure of God to others in some of the prayers.
I believe that Catholics have always revered almost everything in life that you only to her, and validation of the history of the apparitions of miracle and so have fed only venerate Mary.
Please pray for us and to intercede for us as she interceded in the wedding at Cana (John 2:1-5). We do not offer the worship that is due only to God.
Please do not take an interest in Catholicism. It is a lie, is a religion that is man made (founded by Constantine around 300 AD) do not know why we pray to Mary when there's nowhere in the Bible to say that you can pray to Mary. They use the Bible verse that says Jesus told Simon that Mary is his mother and Simon is the son of Mary. They assume that because of this verse, we must pray to Mary (do not ask me where they got that from). Mary needed a son, because Jesus was dying at an early age and Mary was a widow, she would be alone without her husband.
