Mary needed a savior, but Catholics understand that Mary receives absolution (the fullness of grace) at the beginning of your life instead of at the end of it, like the rest of us. The Bible says this is true in Luke 1:28, when the angel of God refers to Mary as the fullness of grace. (His translation can do differently. Most of the Protestant translations underestimated. But if you learn Greek and read Greek, you see that is a title that is using the angel to Mary, and that title, "fullness of grace" is only used once in Scripture.) The reason Mary needed this special, early delivery of the Grace of Christ was to prepare to bear the Christ Child. Imagine what a disaster that would have been if Mary was a sinner - the pride and laziness just knowing that her son was the Son of God would make any woman who is still fighting the "old" (see Romans) on the edge. However, Mary knew she needed a savior - which otherwise would have received the fullness of grace?

He was without sin because God, your Savior, saved her from being stained with original sin in its conception and saved her from falling into personal sin throughout her life. >> Meg contradicts itself. . . . . if it was free of sin, there would need to be saved. << He was without sin because he was saved. That is the Catholic idea, for which you asked. Whether or not understand or believe, that is the Catholic viewpoint. >> Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. << Babies? The profoundly mentally disabled?

I am a Christian and I agree with you. Jesus was the only person without sin. Mary was human like the rest of us. She was special, as she was chosen to give birth to Jesus. She was innocent in the conception of Jesus. I think he was a believer and so it was more than most to be pure. But I do not think she was without sin.

I am a Christian, not Catholic. And to answer your question, I was with sin, like the rest of the human race. Catholics believe that was born with an immaculate conception, in order to have Jesus. But you're right, the one that is perfect is Jesus Christ, his blood was sufficient to cover the sins of the world. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." That verse does not exclude Mary.

I'ma Christian, so I can not speak for Catholics, because I also believe that Mary is sinless. We are all sinners, that is why we need Jesus as our Savior. My sister has converted to a Catholic because he got married and I asked him why the cult of Mary and told her to just show their respect. I am curious about this too. Can not wait to see your answers.
