The "father of the Big Bang Theory" believed in God (being a Catholic priest and all) So Why Can not I?

I'm puzzled. Some Christians (including some Catholics) say they do not believe in the Big Bang theory, because "you can not make something out of nothing."
  I do not understand.
First, that is the Steady State theory of the universe, not the Big Bang. Secondly, I thought Christians believed that God was perfectly capable of breaking its own laws of nature to create something from nothing?
As I said, that's not what the Big Bang says, anyway. According to the theory of Monsignor Lemaitre, derived through the use of mathematics, the universe began as a subatomic particle, and went from there. That is incredibly small, but still not "nothing."
Or is it the supernatural enough for you? Also, I read Genesis. It is very poetic and vague. It says little about how God created the universe, anyway.
Atheists will have little interest in this part but if you believe in God through reason rather than emotion like me, one could speculate that perhaps it was God who created the particle as a kind of seed. Or maybe this subatomic particle suddenly appeared in our dimension from another dimension (such as electrons seem to do) and order of God's silence is a light shining ever more billions of years in our universe.
This does not mean simply that God planted the seed and left. It means that God not only watches with little or no intervention.
In fact, the latter is what I think, but you can believe what they want.
As I mentioned something out of nothing of the theory is the Steady State theory of the universe that used to believe in atheists, but not much more. It was believed at one time that the universe was static (a view also held by fundamentalist Christians). Somehow our physical universe has no beginning, but it was there. How can a universe composed of solid material can have its origin, I have no idea. God has no beginning, but God is not matter.
I'm getting tired of some Christians (mostly fundamentalists), saying I can not believe the Big Bang, evolution and God at the same time.
I'm tired of some atheists telling me I can not believe the Big Bang, evolution and God at the same time.
The Universe is such a beautiful machine, cruel and amoral chugs along on its own, and any motor oiled and God does in some way, somehow created it.
Sorry if my thoughts on God offend the sensibilities of some Christians who can not think outside the Bible and I'm sorry if my views on God offend the sensibilities of atheists who can not think outside of OT in the physical world, but this is how I feel.

    You can.
Again, small groups of atheists and creationists are trying to make us believe that we must choose between God and Science. This is not true.
The Big Bang theory supports the idea of creation by God ex nihilo (from nothing).
Georges Lemaître (1894-1966), Belgian Catholic priest and professor of physics and astronomy, he proposed what is known as the Big Bang theory of the origin of the universe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_Lem
Here is a simple explanation of Nice, in the Big Bang theory is now widely accepted scientific theory about the origin of the universe: http://www.socyberty.com/Philosophy/The-
In 1951, Pope Pius XII gave a speech to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences to discuss the Big Bang theory "… seems that modern science, with a swept back through the centuries, has succeeded in bearing witness to the August instant of the primordial Fiat Lux [Let there be Light], when along with matter, do not spring from nothing a sea light and radiation, and the elements of division and upset and formed into millions of galaxies. God made the Big Bang to REALITY ..
Do the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), all clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not believe?

    1) The "father of the Big Bang Theory" believed in God (being a Catholic priest and all) why can not I?
      Stubborn. Decides not to.
      2) Some Christians (including some Catholics) say they do not believe in the Big Bang theory, because "you can not make something out of nothing."
It sounds very unusual. I do not think I've met a Christian who **, knowing what the Big Bang Theory (BBT) implies **, rejected that theory. It is clear that fully agrees with Scripture.
      3) As I said, that's not what the Big Bang says, anyway. According to the theory of Monsignor Lemaitre, derived through the use of mathematics, the universe began as a subatomic particle, and went from there. That is incredibly small, but still not "nothing."
Is that correct? I have not read Lemaitre theory myself, but I've never heard it described this way.
      4) at one time was believed that the universe was static (a view also held by fundamentalist Christians).
(Grin) Who? (Me: fundamentalist Christian). I've never heard any Christian claim to subscribe to the theory of steady state.
      5) I'm getting tired of some Christians (mostly fundamentalists), saying I can not believe the Big Bang, evolution and God at the same time.
They understand only popularized modern variations of TB as TB. They do not understand what TB really own claims without all the bells and whistles of the variations and proposed specifications. Stick to the basics, and realize that the TBC, as fundamental - theory of friction, that is - is in full agreement with the Bible.
For example, the modern popular proposal is that the "Big Bang" occurred millions of years ago and took billions of years for the Sun and Earth to form.
However, the TBC does not make such claims on the event date or duration. These are the theoretical expansion of TB that do not directly affect the validity of the claims of TB itself. They are in a very real sense, the separate theories that hang from the TBC. The people of whom you speak do not realize that the grouping of several different theories under the umbrella of the BBT BBT when they criticize. It's not their fault - this is what is before them, and they do not have enough scientific background to realize what exactly they are being spoon fed scientific theories are many.

Kool dude is right, no other religious scripture says. It is a plagiarism of the Sumerian tablets which is not a religious text. It is simply a history text that the Koran and the Bible plagiarism. Read Genesis Revisited by Zecharia Sitchin. This explains why the Bible says, especially Genesis, which says and explains all the Bible stories that were taken from the Sumerian tablets.

I think you mentioned his argument well, and I think they've done with regard to Christians and non Christians alike.
I'm not really the best educated person in the world, and I was just a casual Bible scholar for 30 years. There are many things I do not understand, but I have faith. I have faith that God is God, and his son Jesus Christ died on the cross in payment as it were, for the sin of mankind. Jesus said that if we believe in Him and the Father who sent him have eternal life. I accept that on faith.
But not only believe in Christ and have faith, like fire insurance, I have a life much better since I gave my heart to Jesus. Know him personally and walk with him daily, gives me comfort and assurance that there is something better here on earth for me to enjoy the hour before going home. Anyone who wants the same thing seriously and does not know how, feel free to contact me God Bless.
