What is with the Catholics?
When the Bible says specifically that we should not worship false idols, why Catholics worship the Virgin Mary and such? If there is one true God, and he says that one should not pray for others, is not that exactly what Catholics are doing? And indeed, that he gave the right to make a man a saint? A human can NOT declare someone a saint or not, because we are all sinners. Only God is supposed to be able to have that kind of power. Why is the chuch so afraid to acknowledge that Jesus was human and could have been married and had a son? I was raised Christian, but I do not understand why so many Catholics worship false idols, and feel they can make religious rules. Can someone explain this?

I understand what you're saying, because in a Catholic wedding kneel before the statue of Mary, right?
God is the only pray it will.
Amen
Because we can. If it offends you then go read a book or turn on TV and do something to get him out of his mind for a while.
If a false idol or so-called saints has hurt in some way, then complain to the Vatican.
Well, then, two parts here:
1) Mary and the Saints - the Catholics do not worship anyone but God as the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). Mary as a special place in our hearts and faith as the mother of Jesus, but it is not God. Never was, never will be. We Catholics (myself included) are lazy in our speech. We say we pray to saints, but we are really doing is asking people who lived and died here on earth to pray with us to God. It's a bit more of a psychological thing. Have you ever gone to a grave and talked to their dead grandparents? It is much the same.
What is a saint? A saint is just a person that we live a good and holy, that is an example for the rest of us. Period, end of report. Yes, the Vatican maintains an official list, but whoop-dee-doo … Saints are simply models for the rest of us, people looking for until he had to face life exactly the way the rest of us.
2) Jesus and marriage - Catholics believe Jesus was / is / will always be 100% human and 100% divine. I personally have no problem with the idea that Jesus had sex and other things. Heck, very well, even marriage. The issue of Jesus having children brings all kinds of theological rigidity - What does it mean for God himself (in the form of Jesus) to procreate? Does this undermine the divinity of Jesus?
Maybe not the answers I wanted, but in this space limitted, I hope this helps.
This could get heated.
If you read the Bible, you see that there are many things that make Catholics that the Bible says no.
Catholicism is based on tradition.
Some Bible is used. Especially tradition.
To see the tradition that you should read the New Testament of the Bible and know it. If you do not read, can not tell.
I wrote a thesis on the Catholic Church. A thesis if you will. It was titled The Catholic Church Bible verses. If you know anything about calibration,
you have to have a standard. The rule is correct. Something against the standard measure. If there is a discrepancy, which is what is measured, not the rule.
The Bible is the norm.
We are not praying to the Virgin Mary, we are asking Mary to pray for us - which is why it is called a "mediator"
* Edit * sorry missed most of the rest of your questions. Let's see: the church has a long process of canonization of saints, which says that humans "can not" declare someone a saint?, The Church has no biblical or historical evidence to show that Jesus was married …
At the top of the Catholic system is the belief that God is essentially unknowable, for what can only be hypothesized what God would say or if you could tell. This means that the guys at the top get to change the Bible or anything that does not work anymore. The goal is to remain in existence after all. And, since God wills that must exist, they have to do what works and if it works, ha! That must be exactly what God wants!
You know what its people like you that make me so angry, the U.S. Catholic do not worship Mary we pray to her for guidance, I mean she is the Mother of the Son of God, for you know who she is and the importance, could have told me not no birth of her son, and then not would be an even been saved! And if God has the right of human beings, but the Saints of the Catholic Church is the Holy Spirit's guidance and therefore can not be wrong, and become saints, because people know they are saints and when we pray to They make God happy because they are friends of God and when we respect them we are pleasing God. And if Jesus was human but had two natures, human nature and divine nature. If you trace all the way back to the Catholic Church was the true Church before all these other religions wacked to begin.
when they created their church in Rome, adopted many believe includding Pagen replacement of the goddess Diana with Mary
No, nobody can explain to you because he already has decided. You already have a joint opinion about what Catholics are and are not going to change with someone who tries to show why there are errors in their thinking.
If you really want to understand the Catholics then visit a church, pick up his teachings. Read what the religion actually says. Visit this website http://www.newadvent.com learning not only base their opinion on what other people will.
And why did Jesus have to be married with children? Catholics are not scary - nonsense.
I am Catholic. Love Everybody. Ave Maria! Peace be with you
