I grew up Catholic and went through all the communions and such, and I even have a Catholic family who is still in practice, although some members are beginning to take a second look, and I do make use of idolatry in the church. Watch this website and see for yourself. This site may not be the greatest, but is far from the truth. At this website, click on "false religions" and go from there.

I spent the first five years of living in a Catholic convent and raised by nuns until my mother was able to take home. I grew up in the Catholic Church. Even prayed to Mary and some saints, like St. Kitts, when we travel. I stood outside the church as a teenager and later when I was twenty four had an encounter with Jesus that changed my life forever and my family acted as if I had joined a cult. The priest in the church of my family tried to convince me that being born again "was just a fad and refused my request to be baptized (fully immersed in water), because I had been baptized in the Church as a baby and it was not necessary to be baptized again.Then was disowned by my parents when I refused to have my children baptized in the Catholic Church and in its place was formally dedicated to God in a Christian church. I also have many friends who are born again Catholics who have chosen to remain in the church as a testimony of others. I have no ill feelings towards Catholics, but I think many are guided by the traditions and doctrines of the church rather than Christ.
