Your question is false. There are a number of cases in which a Catholic priest can be married.
If he was an ordained minister in another denomination Before becoming Catholic and is married, you can stay married and a priest.
If he is in the Eastern Orthodox Church can be married.
The Catholic currently do not allow a man who is born and raised Catholic, married if he is to become a priest.
It all started some time ago (a few hundred years) when the Church was very powerful and controlled a lot of land. When the priest was married and had children, then died, his property (and it was argued that the land was in his control was his), was divided among his heirs. The Church felt it was losing a lot of land and other property. So he said the priest will not marry - thus ending the problem.
Also think about life living a priest. He is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Notwithstanding what was called at all hours of the day, constant interruptions and must go where the bishop tells him to go.
This is not really a quality of life that many would choose for themselves, much less submit to a woman and her children. The uprooting of children from their schools and friends, breaking all ties with the community at the drop of a hat.
I think it's a good thing. In fact, it allows the priest to be there for the community it serves.

It is part of religious legalism to say that a priest can not marry. Not being married does not make you holier than the average person.

because the priests are delivered entirely in the service of others …. as Christ did. Christ was married to the church, and have no time or need for a wife. So the priests to follow Jesus.

His puzzled me. Marriage is supposed to be a ritual consecrated by God and witnesses. God created Eve from Adam's rib to give Adams a partner and yet the Catholic church, which preached that doesn't allow a priest to marry. I think thats really rude! (I'm Catholic)
Perhaps if priests could marry and have children would find it easier to relate to their churches and supporters of family problems.

Yes, God created man to be with the woman. However, Catholics believe that his father was called to be a priest, and must dedicate and devote his life to the church. If priests were married, they have other priorities other than the Church and the holiness of the people. If you think about it, the logic that makes sense.

There is no logical reason.
The Catholic branch of the early church was really very, very impressed with Paul, because he talked a lot about the structure, politics, and the offices of the church. He was not necessarily referring to the Christian church, but they took these things as the requirements.
Paul also had much to say about the honor to remain celibate and concentrating all of their love and attention toward God. Why was so impressed by this idea? Probably because, not since a guy was apparently very unattractive, it was likely that someone will hook itself. Still, Catholics increased by this idea and approved it - why do not want their leader to spend all their energy in God? That would make him more holy than the common people!

because a priest must be an image of Christ and Christ married wasn't. some priests may marry, however.
