Why here Protestants disrespect Catholicism So Much?
Not all, by any means, but many of our fellow Christians of the Protestant denominations call us the "whore of Babylon" and say we're a cult, and so on. I do not understand how we can become a cult when we are in the original church they were all offspring. You have your beliefs on us, the Bible (the parts that did not draw) and the basic theology of Christianity that is not explicit in the Bible (Trinity, Christ is true God and true man, etc.) The main complaint I hear is about Hail Mary prayer, but if you pay attention to what can only venerates Mary and asked to pray for us. Your above statement is incorrect. The Catholic Church did not exist until 300 years after Jesus died, was buried and resurrected to establish His Church.
The Catholic religion is a combination of the old law and new law. The apostles taught Christians to celebrate in the old law. When Jesus rose from the grave established His Church, which was under a new law. The Jews who had converted to Christianity insisted that Christians should be circumcised. In other words, they tried to force Christians to continue to practice the parts of the old law. The Catholic Church is doing the same today. That's where the Catholic religion originated from (the Jews who taught that Christians must be circumcised). The Jews took another three hundred years is really a religion which took place in both the old and the new law. You have to understand that change takes time.
Some parts of the Catholic religion that patterns itself after the former Act are: candles, "holy water", the priests, to name a few. None of those things that were part of the service of worship under the Law of the New Testament.

Having been a Protestant American Baptist 3 decades to put in my own 2 cents. Prots forget why protesting in the first place … abuse of the Roman Catholic Church. The "leniency" of the Middle Ages flourished after the Roman or Latin West Division of the Eastern Church. After the West went downhill and led to the Reformation, where the 'division of the reformers themselves … this is just history. All the time the Orthodox East kept the majority (95% +) of the original tradition of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic faith. Protestant (including me) are so blind to the Orthodox Church extistance that usually only think they are a cult of the Mother Church of America West … like me. I never knew my maternal inheritance was / is Eastern Orthodox. But when he arrived in America, met with opposition from the Catholic Irish who were here before them … history again. This was especially bad in 1890 around Pennnsylvania-1910-s. These were the "Byzantine Catholic, Greek Catholics, and so on."
