In my eyes all religious organizations in the past have done this, not only Christianity.
all those persecuted by the Romans, they would not stick to their emperor as a god. So this is human nature to try to force others to believe what you do.
All religious organizations have done this at one time or another.
Harod the Jews had killed many of their own faith. the Crusades Christians, and Muslims from Jihad. So do not blame the religion as much as people who use it as an excuse to make war or terrorism. These people have to find another way to do it, as it is in their nature. I do not think their religion as much as how we perceive.
I've always been of the opinion that many organized religions cause problems, but not faith. Faith is something everyone should have, and does not necessarily mean faith in God or Jesus, just simple faith in itself, its neighbors.
I would not call a Jew or a pagan, although Muslims, pagans are people who believe in more of a god or spirit. I am more pagan than nothing, but I have respect for all faiths, no matter what, provided they are not performing acts of terrorism or force their beliefs on me, I think everyone's entitled to believe what we want. This is just me though.

Not quite. The traditional hostility of Christians to Jews comes from the obvious fact that Christianity began as a Jewish sect [errr What were the ethnic and religious identities of all the biblical writers, not to mention the same Jesus?]. Schism is always in hostility.
The early history of Islam is similar, but not quite. Muhummad expected in their migration from Mecca to Medina to ally with fellow monothesists - Jews in Medina - After the persecution of political mechanisms. While there has been good to begin with, it eventually fell, as reflected by the change in the direction of prayer for Muslims from Jerusalem to the Kabbah in Mecca.
The conflict between the early Christians and Muslims has more to do with territorial conquest and control the gains of the nuances of theology.

Christianity is a religion that needs to convert, conquer or kill those who think differently (Islam is the same way) to propagate themselves and make even more power and wealth to control.
Cracks me up that most do not realize that the Catholic Church is the world's largest employer and landowner, however, contribute nothing unless you can convert. And the only way to ensure that it continues to rise in power and wealth is to trample on all that oppose them.
It's been that way since the dark ages, and will remain so until after sheeple up. For what will never change.

Christians have used the Jews as scapegoats of history - - but no more that Muslims are doing now.
Christians have the excuse that the hatred was at a time when people were more superstitious, ignorant, easily led by the church - - - for the benefit of the church.
What excuse do the Muslims are ignorant hatred of the Jews of today?
As an avid reader of history, I have never read of hatred of Muslims or Christians. During the Crusades, the struggle was to get the "holy lands" under the control of Christians. I doubt there was much hatred of Muslims. As in WW 2, I had to kill many Germans. I had no hatred for them. They were fighting for their country. I was fighting for mine.
Muslims are building hatred against themselves in recent years. It is not difficult to understand if you read the newspapers.

Keep in mind that Christians are to constant attacks from other Christians as well. Check out the persecution of the Cathars, the Inquisition, the Reformation and the Counter Reformation. For more recent examples, see the anti-Catholic sentiment so often expressed in this forum.
