Can I point out that Catholics can pray directly to Jesus if they want? It is not just a matter of "inconvenience" him, so ask your mom before you bother with petty things. But they can pray the big man if the need arises!

No matter if they are Catholic or Protestant, are one body in Christ, we are saved by accepting the salvation wrought by Jesus, not because we are Catholic or Protestant.

Your question is absurd because it assumes that Catholics do not pray to Jesus directly.
That is a false statement. We pray directly to Jesus all the time.
