  1. Pastor Billy says:

Pastor Billy says: I'm only a male spectator not worry about me, just watching all the answers of Catholic women. One of the things … regarding the nature of priestly ministry, we understand that this is a creation of Jesus and therefore can not be changed. PastorArt mentions the priesthood in general though, I'm sure you do not profess all born again believers are elders or pastors of the Church, and therefore, his statement is very misleading.
Lets turn on this question we must, if it is Catholic, so much honor to the Mother of Our Lord, why someone comes to the conclusion that it is inclusive of both sexes?

  2. Makemeas says:

No. It is not a problem. I do not have the leadership skills as well. I like being good at what I'm good.
I believe that a deacon is an officer in the leadership of other women.

Actually, Catherine, could not be more wrong.
According to the earliest manuscripts of the letters of Paul to the Romans, it clearly refers to Phoebe as a deacon. No deaconess (because the shape of the word did not exist in classical Greek), the deacon, but simply. Also the names of other women who served in the offices of the church of the time, including a woman who worked with her husband to head another church.
In Timothy, Paul says clearly that there are only two church offices: the bishop and deacon. The deacons serve the role that now attach to the priests of today.
Secondly, the whole point of the letter of Paul to the Romans was to introduce Phoebe to the Christian congregation in Rome. His mission was not to preside over the collection of contributions for the Christian church in Jerusalem. Now, why did Paul send it to the world's most important city on a mission that was considered vital if women can not serve in the role of priest?
Back to read a reliable translation of the Bible. Paul was at times contradictory, but clearly did in his letter to Philemon that no men or women in the church, but merely servants of Christ. To me, that is as egalitarian a statement you can imagine.

I am not a Christian again, but this issue really hit home.
When I was small (among a million other things) that wanted to be a priest, you know direct line to God knows all about the creator, etc. I later learned that they were never allowed. On top of that he could not have a family, even if I were the right gender.
I asked why this was a time, and someone in particular, responded with a quote that said women were to be scilent and completely covered in church. And that a priest can be only by God so they could not bear children.
I could not convince myself that Christianity could be for me after that.
Even now there are women priests in some branches and was in class with the son of a preacher. Certainly not Catholic, but I think at this point could not be a Christian in any sect.

    Your question is the answer.
In fact there are many powerful women who surrounded Jesus during his ministry.
Is Jesus not the Catholic Church, instituted the priesthood.
If Jesus considered appropriate, would not it have been appointed to any of these powerful women during their time? H E did not.
I've never wanted to be a priest and, in fact I find it very offensive when some women of the New Age wants to become a priest. There are many wonderful vocations for women to fulfill God's plan for your life. If a woman believes she has a spiritual calling of God, she must follow. But never the priesthood.
I have personal experience of meeting a woman priest named in a talk at Two Rivers, Wisconsin. I found her very kind, loving and indeed spiritual mentality. However, the absolute knowledge that she would not be a priest these exceeded all of her charming characters. There is no doubt in my mind it was gonna be a religion of some sort, but swerved and was to be ordained by a bishop here in the U.S., just goes to show that in allowing this bishop does not believe in Jesus or his ministry or his words. The problem was really him, not her. I pray often for me to open my eyes to the offense he has done and retract it. And for the rebel bishop in Pennsylvania, which allowed this travesty.

  7. Catherine J. C says:

There are no "deaconess" in the Scriptures. Yes, there are many women who followed Christ … but women should not have authority over men. They must be submissive. Now I know that "ticks" some women were … but the truth is the truth. A deacon is to have a wife and kids …… women are not wives … therefore not qualified to be deacons. A woman can be a servant of the church and another a deacon is a servant but the deacon is also men and a woman is to be in submission to men of the church, and her husband. Phoebe was an official no doubt …. but not where it is viewed as a deacon. Calling a woman a "deaconsess" is a tradition of man and not a biblical position.
1 Timothy 3:12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own homes as well.
1 Timothy 3:13 For those who have used the office of a deacon and buy themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.

  9. Debra M. Wishing Peace To All says:

No, does not bother me at all. I have no desire to be a woman priest or a priest to see women. I doubt that Mary was adopted none.

  10. lilmissykato DOF says:

I do not think it could be one, and I will not attend the mass as stated by a woman. Call me sexist, but thats just the way I am.

  11. Pastor Art says:

St. Peter and St. John said that you are a priest, if you are a true born again Christian.
They said that all true believers are priests.

  13. The Architect says:

    Yes it does.
Jesus believed that women are equal and entitled to the spiritual than men. founded the Nazarenes, also known as the Gnostics.
      See http://one-faith-of-god.org/new_testamen
Paul of Tarsus, the Jewish high priest Sadducee formed the religion of Christianity as false deeds parasites listed as the "Bible", especially the New Testament. Paul hated women, hated with a passion and felt worse than slaves and pets.
      See http://one-faith-of-god.org/new_testamen
So when the Catholic apologists, public relations agents and Spin Doctors say that Jesus chose men and so the Church continues its tradition, is really Paul that follow.
And when Christians quote the Bible that only men were the founders of Christianity, refused to recognize the true teachings of Jesus in the Gnostic texts and their demand that women be treated equally in all matters.
      WWJD? What would Jesus do?
      =========================
+ Jesus has been continuously represented my thanks to Paul of Tarsus 2000 years ago.
+ One would expect that people who believe in him, he wanted to hear his statement that women are treated as equals and with respect in all matters and not just follow what is said by a religious organization with vested interests.
+ Above all people who falsely claim to be talking in his name.

This is how women 100 years ago that he saw nothing wrong with not being able to vote. What's wrong with girls? Do not you think you're good enough to be a priest? And, of course, a man will not be a nun - nuns do not have the power in the church.
I feel terrible for these answers: "Oh, no, we do not mind being treated like second class human beings. God says this is how it supposed to be. "Open your eyes! Please do not be so willing to participate in its degradation.

  17. Legend85 says:

Hi, I'm a beginner student in a theology course, and I want to comment on what the architect (the) said, St. Paul does not hate women!
He was very protective of them, wanted the head cover and so on, so that Christian women distinguished from other women who (when he left his hair loose) men were known to applicants.
And he never imagined that his advice was to last until our days and be taken against him.He women respected very much.
That's what I took in my class.
      Thanks

  19. Joe says:

I'm very happy not to be a priest. I never want to be one. I never want to see a woman become a priest in the Roman Catholic Church. Women have had many powerful roles when the Catholic church and women were holy and religious. None of these women never expressed their desire to annul the sacred tradition handed down by Christ and the Apostles by a priest.
The priesthood is most appropriate for a man and trust in the wisdom of the Lord in this case. Our Lady, the purest of all women was humble and submissive content with the role God had given him. She will never be elevated to the priesthood. She has the highest place of honor in the Roman Catholic Church and to imagine her or any woman Catholic priest is intended to be a rebel and absurd.

  20. Meg M says:

The Catholic Church teaches that there are two units in the one priesthood of Christ - the common priesthood of the faithful and the ministerial priesthood, which serves the common priesthood.
I guess I wonder about the ministerial priesthood. No, I do not mind, and not, and I never wanted ministerial priesthood.

  21. April says:

I found the Catholic Church soooo irrelevant that does not bother me … who are still in the 14th century, so no.
