Not mentioned in the Bible one of the children to be baptized. Christians, according to their own scriptures, forgetting that Jesus himself was baptized in over thirty years by John the Baptist. Infant baptism was submitted by the Catholic Church to "rope in" and establish an "alliance" of the innocent and ignorant to gain power that has become today. In order to finance the church, and the opulent life of the church leaders, who came up with the idea of "indulgence". In other words, if you give me money, I can get their loved ones from hell or mad man made concept of purgatory. Do you really believe in your heart that God let innocent children Firey burn in hell for a second, much less an eternity? If you had a child who did not know you, would you condemn such a fate? Christianity / Islam paints a picture of God as a blind man to paint a portrait of himself. The church has kept people in a grip of fear for centuries with their crazy notions of what God is and is not. If you have read the works of the fathers of the church you would see many of them were mentally ill, or just the right stupid. To give you peace of mind, and get a true and honest history of the early Christian church, I would recommend Peter De Rose, Vicars of Christ. It is an excellent and honest work from a Jesuit priest!

In the Catholic faith of the parents must be Catholic. This is because when you baptize a child in the Catholic faith, like parents who are promising to teach children about faith and educate in the faith. If you are wanting to baptize a child in the Catholic faith and can not always be Cathoic attending an RCIA program. Go to UIOGD.org and to help you connect with the local RCIA program. UIOGD.org do all the footwork for you. God bless ... Not that the child would not be doomed to hell fire. As Catholics, we believe in the mercy of God and not believe that a child who is not baptized are not going to hell. We also believe that someone called baptism of desire. In case if you desire to be baptized and have not yet (or in this case, the desire of his son) and you or the child dies before baptism because you desired, it is. Hope this helps ...

You know not of which you speak, the Christian belief that there is an age of accountability that the child has heard and rejected the gospel, below the age of all go to heaven as gods promise is never too late to anyone can turn around and accept! Baptism does not save, Jesus does.

Today, you have to be a practicing member of the church to get his son baptized, married and communion. Catholic are not as strict then.

No one can condemn a person except God. Anyone who professes to know who is going to hell is wrong, we can not know what is at the heart of God. But I know that unbaptized children go to hell, the Catholic Church does not teach that. Any Christian can baptize a child, you can do it yourself.

One must belong to a church to be baptized. Baptism is not necessary to be a Christian. I regret that it has in this case.

Where I live the Catholic Church does not baptize a child if parents are not practicing Catholics.
