Clergy Positions not attract pedophiles?
Many people have said that Catholic priests are pedophiles because they can not have sex, but I do not think that explains everything. My theory is that people are attracted to these positions of power because they can use power to take advantage of children more easily.
Any ideas?
Any position of authority, especially children, can be seen as a "rather than" for pedophiles.
In reality, the Catholic Church has the lowest incident of pedophiles of any organization. Children are more likely to be mistreated by military, police or teachers.

I think there is some truth in what you say. I think if the lack of sex was the issue then the priests nuns trapped with lovers, prostitutes, etc. Lack of sex is not a pedophile make.
