The Philippines is an amalgam of the (Malay, Chinese, Indian, etc) and western (Spanish, American) cultural practices. Although not part of the universality of the Church, such practices are respected and sometimes tolerated by the local clergy of the Catholic Church. This unique identity of ours is what makes us Filipinos.

i was born and baptized as a Roman Catholic. However, do not practice that religion. Many religions have too many flaws. Of course, feng shui is out of Catholicism. It is a kind of Chinese belief.

This just shows what our culture is unique. some of the pieces are not Catholic (Anita, etc) we have at home are only for home accents and does not necessarily mean that we pray to them. as feng shui, there are plenty of Filipino Chinese families who practice both Catholism and Chinese culture. I think we only have a colorful past and a diverse culture that affects the way in which we do things today.
