They do not understand. The intercession of fellow Christians-which is what the saints in heaven are also clearly does not interfere with the unique mediation of Christ, because in the four verses immediately preceding 1 Timothy 2:5, Paul says that Christians should Interceed: "First, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings for all men, kings and all those in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, godly and respectful in every way. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and come to know the truth "(1 Tim. 2:1-4). Clearly then, intercessory prayers offered by Christians on behalf of others is something "good and pleasing to God," is not impairing the function of Christ as mediator. . James declares: "The prayer of the righteous is powerful in its effects. Elijah was a man of like nature with ourselves and he prayed earnestly that no rain, and for three years and six months did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit "(James 5:16-18). However, Christians in heaven are more righteous, since they have to be made perfect in God's presence (Heb. 12:22-23), that nobody on earth is saying his prayers would be even more effective. Having others praying for us therefore is a good thing, not something to belittle or ignore. Of course, we must pray directly to Christ with every pressing need we have (cf. Jn 14:13-14). That is something that the Catholic Church strongly encourages. In fact, the prayers of the Mass, the central act of Catholic worship, are directed to God and Jesus, not saints. But this does not mean they should also ask our fellow Christians, including those in heaven, to pray with us. In addition to our prayers directly to God and Jesus (which are absolutely essential to Christian life), there are plenty of reasons to ask our fellow Christians in heaven pray for us. The Bible indicates that they are aware of our prayers, to intercede for us and their prayers are effective (otherwise it would not be offered). It's just narrow-mindedness that suggests that they should refrain from asking our fellow Christians in heaven to do what we know to be anxious and capable of doing. The Bible directs us to make use of those in heaven and ask them to pray with us. Thus, in Psalm 103, we pray, "Bless the Lord, you his angels, that the powerful who do his word, listening to the voice of his word! Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will "(Psalm 103:20-21). And in Psalm 148 we pray, "Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord of the heavens, praise him in the highest! Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his army "(Psalm 148:1-2). Not only praying heaven with us, also pray for us. In the book of Revelation, we read: "[an] angel came and stood at the altar [in heaven] with a golden censer, and was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar before the throne, and the smoke of incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God "(Revelation 8:3-4). And those in heaven offer to God our prayers are not angels but human beings. John sees that "the elders [the leaders of the people of God in heaven] fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints" (Revelation 5:8 ). The simple fact is, as this passage shows: The saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the saints on earth.

No where in the Bible is Jesus Christ tells us to pray to the saints. This is idolatry and an affront to God. Christ is "our mediator, he claims to be" one of "our mediators, said" it's "our mediator. Mary and the saints are all sinners, like the rest of humanity. They need Christ as their savior, because we need Christ to be our Savior. Praying to Mary only hinder gods answer to prayer. Jesus also tells us in a parable, that there is a large gap between the living and the dead, so no one can communicate or cross. Doing what Jesus Christ says to you, when in opposition to what his church says.

Dear sister in Jesus, (one of my friends contact here) Please read carefully all the honest answers given in response here for others. Now add only a few concepts to reflect and to pray to God and Jesus directly for more wisdom and understanding in this or any other important thing. Mary can not be the "Mother of God of Jesus, because Jesus Christ is always and forever one with God the Father of all reality in Paradise! In the "past eternity, God and Jesus agree that it is" time "to get Jesus out of eternal, infinite in size Paradise and start creating a new space-time universe Jesus and countless things and beings and human beings and to nearly countless human beings on many worlds in the new universe of Jesus. Yes, Jesus Christ is an eternal Creator Son of God! (I'm jumping more than 400 million year history of the universe of Jesus, to date) So now we must perceive in spirit and truth that Jesus Christ did, with the approval of God and the divine power given to Jesus, Mary's spirit and potential of your soul and mind and body. As it did for you and me! Mary Lord and never was a Creator God in Paradise! She is now saved by Jesus, (I think) and later on one of the highest spheres of Jesus, we meet his sister and another like it in the world of Family of Jesus and thus also in the infinite family of the Father-Infinite I AM! Jesus tells us to call no man or woman, mother or father in the spiritual sense! Now for bravery in the Spirit in our economy to Jesus, man-god, how and where are you now, without intermediaries! Difficult for many to perceive now, but Jesus was always in the Spirit in Paradise One Perfect Godman our Creator, and Godhead coordinates a Son of God. Jesus is now even higher - He is a son of God and is / will be the creation of a much larger and much larger master universe, and we will be there helping him, and thus all doing Infinite perfect will of God! Amen! Peace and progress, Brother David, a Christianhttp Jesusonian: / / www.PureChristians.org/ great website Good

Please clarify this. I have often wondered why they say that Catholics pray to Mary. So please do not Mary, but I ask you to pray for you? Well, that makes more sense to me now. The question I now have is, why we need Mary to pray for you at all? In all seriousness, I pray to God myself. I never thought I needed help from anyone else. Once again, thank you for making this a little clearer for me. Oh, and God bless you, my !!!!!! believer

I mean no disrespect for their beliefs, how Isabel claims in verse 42 more than his words, under the power of the Holy Spirit, a compliment about how God has blessed her? Or verse 28 a greeting of an angel of God to help explain what God was doing through her. I see nothing in these scriptures tell us to talk or pray to Mary for any reason. She is in heaven with Jesus Christ. Are you sure you have the Scripture that says you're listening to talk with her, as we do to Jesus in prayer. The Bible says there is one mediator GA 3:20 And the mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. 1 Tim 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Jesus is the only to go to the throne of God and to intercede for us. Sorry Mary is not God, nor has the ability to listen to people around the world talk to her. She is blessed among men, because she gave birth to our Savior and Lord, and found favor with God.

In the 16th century, Luther removed the books of the canon that lent support to orthodox doctrine, relegating to an appendix. Books removed in this way that supported things like the prayers for the dead (Tobit 12:12; 2 Maccabees 12:39-45), Purgatory (Wisdom 3:1-7), intercession of dead saints (2 Maccabees 15:14), and the intercession of angels as intermediaries (Tobit 12:12-15). Since they are Sola Scriptura, and if these books were not removed ........... then maybe you would understand. The idea that all truth is revealed in "66 books" is not only in Scripture, is contrary to Scripture (1 Corinthians 11:2, 2 Thessalonians 2:15, 2 Thessalonians 3:6, 1 Timothy 3: 15, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Peter 3:16). It is a concept unknown in the Old Testament, where the authority of those who sat in the chair of Moses (Matthew 23:2-3) existed. Besides this, for 400 years, had not defined canon of "Holy Scripture" apart from the Old Testament, there was no "New Testament", there is only tradition and no canonical books and letters. I guess the question we have is why the Bible is an idol for them
