Religion can not be called evil based on what the followers of religion do. There has to be this distinction, which is most important when it comes to Muslims because most of the things people attribute to Islam, on the basis of what some Muslims are doing today.
In any case, Catholicism as a religion has no bad things, for example, are associated with Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) and Mary (peace be upon her) as partners of God, who is the greatest sin that any human can commit.
Quran says:

Catholics are bad for many more reasons than just sexually abuse children, what bow to statues, and even statues in the first place. Call a priest father. Forbidding to marry. Talking to the dead, praying with Mary, when Scripture says there is one mediator between God and man the man Christ Jesus. Just to name a few.

Is not the same as saying that Islam is a violent religion because some Muslims commit crimes?
I have not seen any Muslims criticize Catholicism myself for that very reason I said earlier, but I doubt that happens. But I can compare the number of non-Muslims here (whether Catholics, Baptists, atheists, agnostics, Hindus, ETS), who have said these things about Islam versus Muslims have said about such Catholicism? It's amazing how much ignorance can be a person that makes them say things for fear of what they do not know.

indeed many Christians who have met so far are friendly, and respected my opinion on what priests do, that Christianity is not only a normal human behavior for many years to discuss sexual exploitation and has nothing to do with Christianity, you know.
