If Catholics are in the Bible "Then why do people pray to, besides God?
clearly stated in the Bible that only God can forgive sins then why Catholics pray for people like Mary
- My fellow Catholics: Have any of you pray for Mary to forgive sins, or to put their God?
- Why Catholics pray to Mary? The Bible never says to pray to Mary, but only to God …?
- Why in the world Catholics pray to the statue of Mary? Where the Bible does say to pray to Mary?
- Why do Catholics pray to Mary Jesus said only pray to God?
- Why the Orthodox and Catholics pray to Mary?

I was thinking the same thing is not to say no somewhere in the Bible, to pray to idols …………. hmmmmmmmmmm Jesus Christ and God Himself is the only way to get to heaven and God is the only one who can forgive sins
<<If Biblia, Catholics go through what ¿por then pray to gente, addition god?>>
You should be known in the anti-Catholic thing, because they are mixing apples and oranges in a way that is not making any sense at all. The flu is being circumvented in the above quote has to do with the prayer of intercession of the saints. This is indeed the Bible.
<<it in the Bible clearly says that only God can forgive sins ¿por then why Catholics pray to the likes of Mary>>
Catholics do not pray to saints for the forgiveness of sins. Catholic saints offer prayer requests interessory ie - calling on the saints to pray to God on our behalf. no different that when we pray to God on the behalf of others, just ask the Catholic saints in heaven for their intercession.
Yes, God forgives sins. This statement is usually an anti-Catholic reference to the sacrament of Confession. Confession is the Bible too.
It is clear that you do not know your Bible, and these Catholics Cleary speaks of Jesus gives his disciples the power to forgive and retain sins of others. As for the prayer to Mary, not prayer, is a prayer request, just as all Christians do when they ask their own church members to pray for them. Catholics are obviously highly evolved, as Christians realize that there is more to the belief that a book.
Only a Catholic can answer that question, but the time you have a wrong doctrine or not, if God were to condemn people to understand something wrong or do not get it perfect, we would all be in big trouble. I live and let live, Catholics are my brothers and sisters in Christ. Have a nice day!
Give me a break, like other Christians do not "talk" to their dead relatives in heaven, and think they are "looking out for them" and other things. It's the same principle.
They venerate Mary and the saints as great human beings who are alive in heaven, do not worship them as deities.
Craig R: So you do not believe in life after death in heaven?
We are asking Mary to forgive us our sins. We are simply asking her and those in heaven to pray for us the same way ask someone in this life to pray for you.
Actually, if you read your Bible, you see that Jesus gave his disciples authority and power to forgive or retain sins.
Catholics do not pray to others besides God, as we believe that only God has the capacity to intervene.
What we ask Mary, the saints and nobody else is praying for us.
It's much the same way as asking a friend to pray for you. After all, you are a Christian are not you? There is life after death, what is the difference?
They pray to Mary to intercede on their behalf before God.
Mary is dead and not paying attention. Apart from that it does not hurt anything.
Catholics do not "go by the Bible." In fact, not "go by the Bible" is an official doctrine of the Catholic Church.
In the Catholic Church, tradition and Sacred Scripture have the same authority. That's why we pray to Mary and dead saints. For Protestants the Bible is the sole authority.
Catholics do not know the Bible. They not read or believe in it.They believe what man says (Priest / Pope / Bishop / Cardinal, etc.).
we ask Mary and the saints and of those in heaven pray for us in our time of need just as you would your family and friends to pray for you when you are in need of prayer. It's called intercessory prayer. who do not worship anyone but God alone, because only deserves to be worshiped.
We ask Mary and the saints to pray for us like you or ask a friend to pray for me. I do not believe that the Bible forbids it.
God bless,
Stanbo
Phil B — The saints are not dead, are alive in heaven with God. Mk 12: 26-27 reads: "God is not dead, but of the living." The saints are more alive than we are. They are free from all sin. Fillness enjoy the life of God that gives presence. Flooded with love of God, they care more about us now than they did on earth. We know that the angels and saints out the prayers of the saints, at the foot of God (Revelation 5:8 and Revelation 8:3-4), supporting sentences and their intercessions. The martyrs under the heavenly altar cry out to claim the earth (Revelation 6:9-11) showing that they are aware and concerned about earthly matters.
Of course, only God can forgive sins. But prayer can not be equated with the forgiveness of sins.
I think you should be asking where in the Bible that says that prayer is for God alone.
We have a different idea of what a relationship with God. For that his only concern is not going to hell. So I think the relationship is just that.
because we will ask other people to pray for us if they are members of the Mystical Body of Christ (eph1 :22-23; 5:21-32)
Rms15: 30
Col4: 3
1 Thes25
In heaven the saints in Revelation 6:9-11 are praying for us marytred under the altar
and the angels offer prayers of the saints of God in rev5: 8
Jesus is the only mediator, the priest and the sacrifice and prayer and grace all go through it alone and in the Body of Christ we are intercessors, with, through and because of him
Catholicism teaches that the Pope is a substitute for Jesus, a vicar is the substitution of one person, but a butler. Pope is the Successor of Peter, not Jesus.
Jesus is the eternal head of the Body of Christ and the boyfriend of his bride, the Church. The Pope is the servant of the servants of God and is accountable to Christ. Check out the Catechism of the Catholic Church
Good question, believe they can better reach Jesus, praying with Mary, you are wrong and will not get to heaven by worshiping statues (idols) of Mary either.
Our prayers to Mary and the saints are of intercession - asking for help, nothing more. Only God can forgive sins. We have never said otherwise.
God bless.
Catholics pray to God through the Blessed Virgin and the other, feeling maybe he could intercede on behalf of the person.
I now understand why Catholicism is fucked. Continue reading the Bible will find other things that make you go …….. hmmmm
Good question, why to St. Jude, San Francisco, San Cristobal, etc.
because you can never have many friends in high places. besides everyone knows the shape of a Mans heart is through his mother.
It is idolatry
LMAO !!!!!!!
Must be "Attack the Catholics" night of the fundies.
And just when you think the Bible?
Well, there is a Catholic Bible, so maybe
that says in your Bible.
The call from their mediator with God.
1 Tim 2:5
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"

For real!
You seem to be talking of 2 different things. Andthe Confession Communion of Saints.
Confession
Some argue that the confession of a priest is not biblical. In John 20 we read about Jesus' appearance to the disciples on Easter Sunday. , Breathed on the apostles, giving them the authority to forgive and not forgive. This means you had to hear the sins to forgive / not forgive. Then Jesus said: "As the Father sent me, so I send you." This means that the apostles to continue the mission of Christ, the essence of what is forgiveness of sins. In 2 Corinthians, St. Paul describes apostles as ambassadors of Christ's work of reconciliation. In the Epistle of James we read that the presbyters (priests) are called to pray for the sick and forgive their sins. Why are priests called to perform this task? Obviously, priests have an authority that ordinary Christians do not.
It is clear that Christ gave the apostles the power to forgive sins.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is one of the seven sacraments that Christ gave to his church. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also known as the sacrament of Penance or Confession. This sacrament can set us free from our sins, and the burden of guilt that comes along with our sins. Through the sacrament of Reconciliation - confession - to be returned to union with God. Our sins separate and damage our relationship with our Lord, and through this sacrament stronger than our relationship with the Lord is repaired and reinforced. Through the sacrament of Reconciliation can take a closer walk with the Lord once again, without the burden of our sins of bearing down and leads us away from our relationship with God.
Some ask why Catholics confess to a priest instead of simply going directly to God. Some argue that the confession of a priest is not biblical. But that's not true.
We confess to a priest because that is the way Jesus instigated the sacrament. It is under his command that we confess to each other. When sin against the Father our sins also affect our Christian family. Confessing sins to a priest is something that was not a universal practice and discussed in the Early Church.
Jesus himself was able to heal the sick not only physically but also spiritually sick. Christ had the power to forgive sins (cf. Mt 9:1-8, Mark 2:5-12).
He passed that power to forgive sins in his name to his Apostles.
"Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again, I tell you, if both spouses agree on earth about anything for which to pray, to be given to my heavenly Father. " (Matthew 18:18-19)
"Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I sent you. "And having said this he breathed on them and said," Receive the Holy Spirit. Who sins you forgive they are forgiven, and whose sins you retain are retained. "(John 20:21-23)
Jesus entrusted his Church with the power to forgive sins through this most wonderful sacrament. The priest is simply acting in persona Christi (in the person of Christ) in the confessional, but he is our Lord who forgives our sins. The priest grants absolution (sets us free from our sins) using the power of Jesus entrusted to his Church. It is through Christ, however, that our sins are forgiven.
St. Paul tells us, "Whatsoever things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins and entrust to us the message of reconciliation. So we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. " (2 Corinthians 5: 18-20)
Does this mean that we should not talk and pray directly to God and express sorrow for our sins? Absolutely! In fact, for daily faults which is exactly what we should be doing. However, for the most serious offenses, for grave and mortal sins, we must repent and confess through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, because that is what Christ commands us to do.
Reconciliation (also known as confession and penance): Penance is a sacrament in which sins committed after Baptism are forgiven.

Matthew 18:18, 1 John 5:16
Ask others to pray for you
The Bible directs us to make use of those in heaven and ask them to pray with us.
Thus, in Psalm 103, we pray, "Bless the Lord, you his angels, that the powerful who do his word, listening to the voice of his word! Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will "(Psalm 103:20-21). And in Psalm 148 we pray, "Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord of the heavens, praise him in the highest! Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his army "(Psalm 148:1-2)
Not only praying heaven with us, also pray for us. In Revelation, John sees that "the elders [the leaders of the people of God in heaven] fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints" ( Revelation 5:8). Thus the saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the saints on earth.
Angels do the same: "[an] angel came and stood at the altar [in heaven] with a golden censer, and was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all saints upon the altar of gold before the throne, and the smoke of incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God "(Revelation 8:3-4).
Jesus himself warned us not to mess with young children because their guardian angels have guaranteed intercessory access to the Father: "See that you despise not one of these little, because I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. " (Matthew 18:10).
Because he is the only God-man, Jesus is the only mediator between God and man (1 Tim. 2:5), but this does not mean you can not or should not ask our fellow Christians to pray with us and for us (1 Tim. 2:1-4), including Christians in heaven, who had already completed his sanctification, because "[t] he prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects" (James 5 16).
First, because Mary is the biological mother of the humanity of Jesus, that "the fullness of deity (God) is pleased to live body," [Col. 1:19, 2:9] Catholics recognize the Virgin Mary as the Mother of God.
Second, because Mary was "favored by God" [Lk. 1:30] when he was personally chosen by God to be the mother of Jesus, God incarnate, Catholics believe they have a higher probability of obtaining the grace of God for their daily physical and spiritual needs asking Mary to intercede on their behalf .
Thirdly, the above belief is based partly on the fact that Jesus is the King of kings and of Mary, the mother of the King, is the "queen mother". Then, studying Jewish history, one discovers that the mother institution of the "queen" was established during the reign of King Solomon.
In the Old Testament, we learn from the privileged position of the Queen Mother through the following words, "… then the king sat on his throne, and had a throne for the king's mother, sat to his right. He said, 'I have a small request to you, do not refuse me. And the king said: 'Make your request, my mother, because I will not refuse you. "[1 Kgs. 2:19-20]
After the reign of King Solomon, many of the kings maintained this practice. The king's mother, through which the king received his throne, his confidant and trusted adviser. So important was the role of queen mothers in the days of the Old Testament which their names appear in the records of succession of the kings of Judah. [See 1 Kings 14:21, 15:13, 2 Kings. 12:1, 14:2, 15:2, etc. ..]
Similar to the intercession of the Queen Mother, when a child wants a favor and can not get from their parents, often the child will make the request to the grandparents to intercede on their behalf, so please get that was requested . This does not mean the child is seeking the favor of the parents of the grandparents. Rather, the child is seeking the intercession of grandparents before parents.
Furthermore, Catholics do not distinguish between the living (on earth) and the dead (those who left) members of the Body of Christ (the fullness of the Church.) The fullness of the mystical Body of Christ is found in the union of all the saints, past and present, from below and from above in the sky.
In view of the foregoing, it is undeniable that those who are called to heaven, Mary, still alive in the spirit in the Kingdom of God that coexists with our world. Since some non-Catholics pray for their deceased parents, grandparents or other biological relatives, with these dear people took to intercede with God on their behalf, Catholics pray through Mary to Jesus, taking advantage of its position as the Blessed Mother of God.
This action affirms the Catholic and divinely inspired prophetic passage found in the Holy Bible, which states: "Certainly, from now on all generations will call me blessed." [Lk. 1:47] All the generations could not call Mary blessed if she did not actively participate in the progressive Divine Plan continues to unfold before our eyes.
In fact, all generations have called the Blessed Virgin, including this one, because she has never failed to intercede for the world, his endless advocacy for miracle cures and other favors. Mary's role in the field of obtaining p
Since the Bible makes no sense, can be interpreted in many ways.
Because the entire Christian religion is hypocritical.
Thanks to the Flying Spaghetti Monster someone sees this.
comandment first … Do not you have no other idols before God?
hmmm ………….. what the heck would that mean?
Catholics believe in Santa Maria and what not .. and Pope are funny hahah
