Percentage wise, there are more non-clergy pedophiles in this country.There are parents, siblings, coaches, neighbors, uncles, etc. who want to have sex with children. Just watch To Catch a Predator on Dateline. Many of these men are married. Many of them are parents themselves. Very sad.
One thing you can be sure is that with pedophilia in the dictionary is a picture of a man … never hear of women who commit this heinous crime perverse. How would you like that if all men were classified as pedophiles? That would be fair to all decent men out there?
There have been a few sick priests, bad, … but there are many, many good, decent priests. It's a shame they do not focus on them.
