Is this true .. A Catholic priest Confession Etc can be, so no matter what gets in Heaven?

There is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus …. 1Timothy2: 5.
….. we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous …. 1 John 2:1
That said, I wish someone would show me exactly where the Bible confessing to a priest. I am a student of the Bible, and consider myself pretty well ….. and read the Bible says Jesus Christ is my advocate with God, my only mediator with God, and my High Priest. The forgiveness of sins came through the shed blood of Christ, and when a person asks for forgiveness in prayer to our Lord (1 John 1:9 )…. not a priest.
The only way a person gets into heaven is by receiving Jesus as their personal savior …. John 10:9, Acts 16:31, 1Timothy1: 15, Hebrews 7:25, Romans 1:16,5:8 and 9, 6:23, 10:9 and 13, Ephesians 2:5 and 8. If a priest does not, then do not get it.
Search the Bible for answers, if not there, then there should be a part of your relationship with Christ or in the ideas of how to reach the sky.

Gee, I hope to take the idea for sex. If you just pleased to themselves instead of sexually abusing children that could have saved $ 600 million.

"As a Catholic priest," I would say that the only way to God the Father in Heaven is through "His Son Jesus Christ. and this is who forgives us our sins's. "No Man" Also because all sinned and come short of the glory of God. Salvation is the only way to heaven, is a free gift, can not be won.

  4. Rev. Karen Braswell says:

No, the priests have to go to confession to other priests.

  5. CALAVA says:

    No.
No priest (including the Pope) can absolve himself.
Therefore, every priest up to and including the Pope has to go to another priest to give his confession.
"The priest is a priest for himself. He did not give himself absolution. Do not administer the sacraments themselves. He does not exist by itself, there for you "(Cure of Ars: Monnin II 453).
What a comfort to the guilty, when, struck with remorse and repentance for their sins, who hears the word of the priest who tells him the name of God: "I absolve you from your sins!" These words fall, it is true , from the lips of someone who, in turn, must ask for the acquittal of the same needs of another priest. This does not degrade the gracious gift, but it does rather seem bigger, and from beyond the feeble creature is most clearly the hand of God through whose power is wrought this wonder. 12. I W/LK FVNNY says:

Confession is just a ritual. Unless you really repent of their sins, if you go through the ritual of a Catholic priest, or in his own prayer (as the Protestants), then God will not forgive you.
In this regard, provided truly sorry for your sins and accept Christ as their savior, then no matter what, you enter Heaven;)

  13. Erich Einluger says:

Nope. The "etc." part of me wants to say "yes, partly" - because a priest can, in fact, "attributed" Holy Communion.
But as for the other sacraments … including the confession and absolution, Holy Unction, etc. - it has a "good minister" (which is a term Sacramental) - and it would be "a person other than himself."
N - A priest can not give absolution.

  14. Father K ™ says:

priests can not be confession … have to give it to another priest, however … agree that religious thought … but nobody can do anything and be forgiven … so it really does not matter if you are Catholic and the confession of practice to go .. regardless of the crime
