LONDON - A former California priest extradited from U.S. appeared in a British court Friday, accused of sexually abusing children.
James Robinson, 71, is accused of having carried out the abuse when he served as a Catholic priest in Britain between 1959 and 1983. He moved to California in 1985 and was arrested in January after he was spotted by a BBC program and challenged in person by one of his accusers.
Robinson was arrested after a two-minute hearing in a court of Birmingham, 120 miles (190 kilometers) north of London.
West Midlands Police said Robinson came to London's Heathrow Airport on Friday after being extradited. He faces 22 charges of sexual abuse. His next hearing is Nov. 3.

Catholic priests are pedophiles rather than dirty, do not let any of his sheep, "" say other wise.
This guy is a priest, and certainly does not represent all the priests. For your information the priests are the least likely of all groups identified as sexual abusers. They are the least likely to be sexual abusers than any clergy, fifteen times less likely than Protestant clergy. It is also likely that a public school teacher to be a pedophile or a family member. Most pedophiles are married, and rarely are gay. Almost never are priests. God bless!

Really? Does anyone realize that the only posts on the news of sexual abuse are priests? Why is this? For the priests are the least likely to engage in such actions, but when they do, that a priest can not represent everyone. A priest is the least likely to do any kind of sexual abuse. Capturing all this on the news is only one way to bring down other religions Catholics.
