Protestant Christians and Catholics?
There are similar questions at this time, but the slant I want is the perspectives of both sides. I've been around the Protestants, especially all my life. He told me that Catholics are not even Christians, Protestants, and many feel this way. What is your opinion?

I think that Protestants need to take an impartial book on the history of Christianity.
I am not a Christian, but even I know that Catholicism is the largest sect of Christianity in the world.
The idea that a sect of Christians are not "real" Christians and therefore not going to heaven is only one line of rhetoric that churches use to keep their members in line.
Where in the Bible says that no religion can judge another religion? There is no real justification for any Christian church to have a specific religious denomination. Jesus encouraged believers to go out and preach the Gospel. The Good News. Not to sit at trial that the church is more favored or more like Christ. There has been an age believe that Catholics honor Jesus do not succeed because of the way they pray. But in my home state is not a city that has a Catholic chapel. Inside the church are literally hundreds of letters of thanks from Catholics and non-Catholics who have come there to pray for cures. There are crutches and walkers, the photos of those who have received the special blessing. So God must feel that they are consistent with the teachings that were given to believers.
I'm not Catholic. I am a Christian, but also advocate that people take the time to learn about the beliefs of others under Christanity. Then you can make an informed decision about the beliefs of others.
What is a Christian? any person who has accepted Christ as Savior and decided to follow Him … what church you attend is not what matters … His church can not provide salvation, only Christ can do that.
That said, I have philosophical differences with the RCC, but not with Catholic believers … Pope after Pope declared that the only way to salvation is through the RCC … when that changed, I dunno, but there are still some Catholics who believe that … belief is totally wrong, but not harm me in any way, I'm not too worried about how other people worship, provided they harm no one. My salvation is assured, and anyone who believes anything in this world, he says, or you can change that fact
Well, Catholics and Christians are almost the same Deh
But ODNT see the difference except the girl Oo holy person virgign XD
what Protestants say, have no importance to me. I always choose Catholicism hate propaganda, no matter how many are with the Catholic Church. I know my faith, do not. and that's what matters.
I've met some born-again Catholic, but very few. Catholics are taught salvation through his church, not through Christ. They use the Rosary, which is repetitive, and pagan-like, not unlike the Muslim prayer beads. They worship and pray with Mary, but the Word of God tells us that Jesus is our only path to the Father.
Catholicism is a religion of the mainstream, while Christianity is a relationship with Christ. There is a huge difference between the 2.
Great question! God bless you!
Funny huh? Christians are supposed to "Love one another as I (Jesus) have loved you", however, some called Christians are willing to condemn others to hell.
Some Protestant denominations do not think that we Catholics are Christians, however, readily accept all believers in Christ to be Christian.
It's a human thing. We want an identity that is an idea that we like something, and we also want individuality, ie that are unique from others. Catholicism can trace its direction back to the apostles and their traditions say they are like the apostles, we have developed a way to make time, but we did so thoughtful, spirit-guided. Protestantism began to confront the leadership. Protestant churches quickly broke into the smaller churches, have their uniqueness in this way, but only in its identity is being anti-Catholic, who have made the leaders of the enemy.
It's like a child of parents fighting for the independence and authority. The two are so connected and yet not willing to praise the other that so intimately share in common.
I am Roman Catholic. the Catholic Church is the pinnacle of Christianity is the only Catholic Church where the fullness of Christianity. http://www.scripturecatholic.com/
The site provides the key elements of Catholicism and sample scripts base. http://www.catholiceducation.org/
This site contains articles from top Catholic apologetics, which is particularly for those dealing with the deeds which they came. you will find that is the Catholic Church that gave us the scriptures and safeguard the Scripture which is the only reason we have a Bible today. http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/
Go to the Fathers of the Church, in these writings, including those from other sites will show how the Catholic church fathers were, especially the teaching on the Eucharist, etc. …… not found any mention of Protestant base believes in these writings of any kind.
Finally, if you have the opportunity to go to the Holy Land and visit the ancient catecombs and see for himself the engravings on the walls which in turn bear witness to the truth of Catholicism and the early Christians were Catholics.
There is much that this only begins to discover that, no doubt, but Catholics are Christians, but our Protestant brothers and sisters in Christ who have not had the opportunity to be a Christian without the Church, are forever indebted to the Church if you have or not. without offending anyone seeks my humble opinion, God bless.
You're only a Christian if his life emulates that of Jesus. No matter if you call yourself a Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Methodist or Gnostic, if you do not live as Jesus taught that no right to call himself a Christian.
Catholics are Christians. I grew up Catholic and I know they believe in the resurrection, that Christ died for their sins. I do not follow their tips ….. his teachings. I am a follower of Christ …… I follow his yolk. I'm not a Protestant or a Catholic, I'm just a follower of Christ.
As a Protestant, I think many Catholics are Christians, but it seems too ritual for me.
None.
If you believe that Jesus is your savior and that through the atonement that we can live with our Father in heaven again what is Christian, no matter what sect you belong to.
Funny how Protestants have no problem in view Catholics as Christians when it comes to the census, but in all other cases, they flee.
I remember hearing a Protestant preacher say that "Christianity must be true because it is the world's largest religion with over one billion adherants. This preacher claimed that Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodoxys are not Christians.
Did not realize that Catholics and Orthodox Christians make up 1.2 billion?
I find a Christian to anyone who professes Jesus of Nazareth as a deity.
Plato tells me was the references to original sources of the Catholics. And the Protestants are just assumed to be devil's advocates want the Catholics.
Dony i know
They feel that way because of hundreds of years of misinformation Protestants continue to protest and, in doing so, the protest that the Catholic Church is pagan and
Babylonian and Egyptian mixed with pagan symbols and rituals in the name of Christianity. Both have their upsides and drawbacks both are Christians and many things are taught and preached mainly ingnorance and / or a misunderstanding
Well, if you listen to those who, like the flower of Oregon up, she has all the answers - it's just not quite right. "I've met some born-again Catholic, but very few." One wonders what criteria is that - do not give them a contest?
"Catholics are taught salvation through his church, not through Christ." Garbage.
"They use the Rosary, which is repetitive, and pagan-like, not unlike the Muslim prayer beads." The fact that the Rosary is just a meditation on Christ's life seems to have been accomplished by this expert especially as Catholics do.
"They worship and pray with Mary, but the Word of God tells us that Jesus is our only way to the Father." We think the same about Jesus, I mean that in the same Bible we read (Oh, that's another myth , we do not read the Bible or not allowed, it is not true, but a little love to perpetuate). As explained more, more and more that we do not worship Mary, but some heads are thicker than others about this.
"Catholicism is a religion of mainstream, while Christianity is a relationship with Christ. There is a huge difference between the 2 ". Catholicism is all about a relationship with Christ - which is not only an "n" of Jesus to me "thing with us, however. We have both a deeply personal relationship with Christ in the Eucharist, and a relationship there with the whole family of believers as the body of Christ. Can not get much more relationship oriented to that.
Yes, in a word. Catholics are Christians. So are our brothers and sisters, like Florida, we love despite what they say about us and our Church.
Peace be with you.
