  1. Mama Kate formerly preggo! says:

We believe that God is merciful and mercy where I feel really all I needed is a quick thinking Oh no I made a mistake I'm sorry for the soul for forgiveness. I'm Catholic, do not know the mind of God, but God's mind can be changed.
Pray the Rosary and receive the sacraments of the glory of Christ our Lord

The Church has never said that suicide is acceptable, but what I * have * said is that most people who commit suicide do so without full awareness of the seriousness of their actions. Since most people suffer from emotional, physical, or mental anguish when they take their own lives, are not completely responsible for their actions. For that reason, they are given a Catholic funeral and burial.
I do not know for sure, but I imagine that most priests would emphasize the fact that God is merciful and compassionate that we can even begin to imagine. Family and friends can be certain that your loved one is in kind and paternal care, and that He will hear their prayers for that person.
      That's the absolute truth.

The priest tells the family of Truth - there is always hope.
The Catechidm of the Catholic Church teaches:
2325 Suicide is seriously contrary to justice, hope and charity. It is forbidden by the fifth commandment.
      That said, there's more:
2281 Suicide contradicts the natural inclination of humans to preserve and perpetuate his life. It is gravely contrary to the just love of self. Also offends love of neighbor because it unjustly breaks the ties of solidarity with family, nation, and other human societies to which they still have obligations. Suicide is contrary to love the living God.
2282 If the suicide is committed with the intention of setting an example, especially young people, but also takes the gravity of scandal. Voluntary cooperation in suicide is contrary to moral law.
Grave psychological disturbances, anguish or grave fear of proof, suffering or torture can diminish the responsibility of one who commits suicide.
So you see, is wrong to automatically count someone in mind even suicide.

  4. Clare † says:

The priest said something probably along these lines, which is part of what the Church teaches about the people who have committed suicide:
"We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives. By ways known only to him, God can provide the opportunity for salutary repentance. The Church prays for persons who have taken their own lives. "

in my school-boy Catholic high suicide
and I think it had a mass, and I think we prayed for him
because suicide is a disease in which a place is in mental irrational, I have begun to accept, not a sin for this reason,
so the priest is like 'Sorry for all the world as their loss of' something else
However, I think it'll be like "God forgives ad means" because they are against suicide think

  6. Mike K says:

    Hi,
All we can do is pray and hope that his action was due to serious psychological problems, procedures for defective drugs, etc.
At the same time, you can not slap her family in the back and say, hey, what did was right and pleasing to God, if that is a lie from the right.
      Cheers,

I know a priest whose brother committed suicide. His father was extremely upset and the priest asked if this meant that the brother did not go to heaven.
The priest said, "I forgive you, daddy?"
The father replied: "Absolutely. Do you know how discouraged and depressed he was. I was not thinking clearly. Of course I forgive you. "
"Me too," said the priest. "And you know that God is merciful and forgiving that you and I together. Let God take care of him. "

  8. great gig in the sky says:

Catholics can have teachings against suicide, but no heart.
The priest will do everything it can within its power to console the family the same as any other group would do.

  9. mike says:

If he had accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and confessed with your mouth in front of people then I do not think he had nothing to fear. God judges, not Catholic doctrine.
