Clothing. But seriously .. The priest wears clothes of different colors to highlight the different liturgical seasons and the church runs in a calendar year. White vestments are used at Easter, Christmas and the holidays of the saints who were martyred for their faith. Also make their appearance for the holidays and other feasts and special occasions such as weddings, funerals, and confirmations. For funerals, black can also be used. Red is actually used only on Good Friday and other events to commemorate the death of Christ (which means the blood shed by Christ for mankind) and the feast days of martyrs (as a sign of the blood by men and women saints by their faith). The priest carries purple during the long season of Lent (six weeks before Easter) and Advent (a season four weeks before Christmas). Green Garments are used to the season of Ordinary Time, which occurs outside the stations and times mentioned.
