Where is Christ in Catholicism?
It has been my experience that what really is taught by any religious group becomes more pronounced and / or apparent at funerals. Recently I attended a Catholic funeral in the following "prayer" was read and given to each attendee:
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary, who never knew that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, and asked the intercession of your been abandoned. Inspired with this confidence, fly to Thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother! you come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Incarnate Word! despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
Why Catholics pray to Mary and make a god who can give mercy, aid, protection and assistance? Mary was a created being, a sinner like you and me who need a Savior? Recorded the words of his own state just that. Did not Jesus say, "I am the Way the Truth and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me?"
Jesus Christ is no longer a part of European Catholicism, nor is the Bible.
It's all about worship and the Pope Catholic Club membership.

Christ is the heart and center of Catholicism. He is our Lord and Savior, by His life, death and resurrection, has saved us from the fires of hell. There is no other way of salvation only through His shed blood as a perfect sacrifice for our sins.
The sentence you mention is called "Remember" and is one very beautiful for the intercession of the Virgin Mary. Like any other believer, she is alive in heaven with God and a member of the communion of saints. She can and should intercede for us with their prayers, like any other believer can, whether on land or in the sky.

The whole second part of the Lord's prayer is the prayer of intercession in praying for us and others (us, us and ours).
Christians pray for others and the world is the prayer of intercession and is accepted and practiced by all denominations, Christan (that I know about).
Before Jesus Christ died for our sins and opened the gates of heaven there are no saints in heaven. Therefore, there is no Old Testament writings mentioned.
Very few of the new Christians died before most of the New Testament was written. Therefore there is little in the Bible about asking saints to pray for us.
However, the last book of the Bible speaks of the saints in heaven praying.

The Holy Spirit guides the early Church in many things that are not explained in the Bible, including how the Body of Christ (believers) living on Earth relate to the Body of Christ (the saints) living in heaven. We are still one Body.
Catholics share the belief in the Communion of Saints with many other Christians, including Orthodox, Anglican, Episcopal, Methodist and Church.
The Communion of Saints is the belief that all saints are intimately related in the Body of Christ, a family. When one dies and goes to heaven, do not go to this family.
Everyone in heaven or on their way to heaven are saints, you, me, my late grandmother, Mary the mother of Jesus, Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II.
As part of this family, you can ask your family and friends living here on earth to pray for you. Or you can ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Andrew, or your deceased grandmother living in heaven to pray for you.
Prayer to the saints in heaven is simple communication, not worship.
Ask others to pray for you if your loved ones on Earth or your loved ones in heaven is always optional.

As Christ promised his Church is present at every Mass, and we eat, drink and worship his Body and Blood.

Please pray for us alone and not believe it is a god. We believe in the Triune God alone and worship only him.

Of course that was created and saved from sin before she was born to prepare to be the mother of God. God's messenger the angel Gabriel said he was without sin as full of grace.

That is correct but what it has to do with the Mother of God? If they pray for you or if you pray for another you are interfering with the redemptive work of Christ? Of course it's not ridiculous.

I'm not Catholic, have never been and probably never will be. I am a believer in Christ and for all intentional purposes could be called charismatic or "Word and faith." I think that Catholics pray to Mary for the same reason to talk and pray to any other saint, it is called intercession. For me, the saints are praying and asking God and the saints to pray with them, acts as a liaison holy God. What the lack of prayer in his prayer of the saint added on its behalf. I find it interesting that you did not mention all the times in a Catholic funeral for the phrase "the spirit of his comment to you, O Lord" is mentioned.
That prayer is the Memorare. It is not prayer to Mary, but rather ask him to intercede on our behalf. It is said by the congregation in my parish every Sunday after prayers of intercession, where the whole congregation prays for those who are enrolled in our list of people to pray.
Ask Mary, or any of the saints, to intercede, to pray on our behalf, does not ignore Christ. Catholics to pray and worship Christ.

It's called "Remember". It is a devotional prayer, which was probably significant to the person who had died, and that's why I was in the prayer cards. Or not, for a Catholic funeral, one of the prayers is not unusual funeral homes print on the back of the cards. Burial in itself does not.

Where is Christ in Catholicism? Come to church at some point. It's there.
I would not expect to appreciate Catholic teaching when raised in a anti-Catholic.

Well, then let me ask you, Baby Jesus - Who will cry for protection when he was cold, exposed and defenseless? Your mother? And because of his great love, Jesus gives us everything that He is to us, including his mother. "Woman, behold your son, Son behold thy mother."
Does this exclude Jesus from the Church in any way? No, because,
1. by praising Mary we're doing his will
2. Mary, our worship becomes a praise of God (Luke 1: 46-55)
3. We become more like the baby Jesus.

That's a great question. Many denominations of Christianity, even Catholicism is counted as a designation, simply because of what you said. I've wondered that too soon .. Until I realized that every single religion, including Christianity springs from something much deeper, much more than what is professed in the Bible.
Yes, I know the people do not want to think, but honestly, long before Christianity became popular, hundreds of thousands of stories of the miraculous Virgin Birth and messiah walking on earth all the miracles preformed type. You know what? The Virgin Mary was not the first of the Virgin Birth. I know of several gods who are born of a virgin. The Egyptian sun god, was conceived for a
by a virgin. A bit strange is not it?
And to answer your question, in ancient times, when Catholicism was the firstborn, people were very close to the figure of the female goddess. Especially the heathen that the early Christians wanted to convert. It is my belief that maintaining the female figure of Mary as a simple method to convert pagans to Christianity and, of course, because the figure of the mother is much more important and accessible than a God of vengeance, jealousy.
Idolatry. Plain and simple. Where I live the caths drive 4 hours to visit gaudelupe virgin, but not the drive 4 miles to worship God, go figure.
