Did you mean those who continue to repeat false assumptions about the Catholic Church, even after being corrected again and again?
Willful ignorance, intellectual laziness or dishonesty absolutely take your pick.

It is simply not true that most Protestants are hostile to Catholics. See link below.
I agree however, that Protestants have many of these views. Humble and polite disagreement on various issues is expected, but the hostility is misplaced. Intolerance is part of a fallen human nature, and like other sins (greed, hypocrisy, etc.) is a way to educate the head of religion and other areas of life.
I was raised Catholic, and since then have been part of three different Protestant denominations. I see the strengths in each of them, as well as in Eastern Orthodox tradition. I wish the Church could be more united under a "big tent", which contains different perspectives on non-essentials. (I guess the challenge is that each one defines what constitutes the "essence" differently.)

CATHOLIC AND PROTESTANT NOT BELIEVE THE "SAME THING.
The Catholic Bible contains several clearly not, the fight against the Bible, and even elements of sin as Mariolotry, the Rosary, the confessional, prayers to saints, the Immaculate Conception, the scapular, purgatory, works-based salvation, penance, prayer for the dead, the Apocrypha, the authority of tradition, the baptism of infants, repetitive prayer, intercession of saints, the sacraments, salvation outside of Christ, transubstantiation, and more. All this is amply documented in the Catechism of the Church itself (official rule book) and analyzed in depth in numerous websites and books.
Protestantism simply rejects the doctrine that is contrary to the Holy Bible. Christians are instructed by God to "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them." (Ephesians 5:11).

As a Catholic, I can tell this is not the majority of Protestants. It's just a very vocal minority. It's just human nature. People do not like what I do not understand. Some people can go to that natural feeling, but not others.
Also - has not been established by Constantine. A man by the name of Ignatius of Antioch wrote about the Catholic Church by name in 107 AD, more than 200 years before Constantine came.

I always had the idea that Protestants felt that if they fail to protest against the Catholic Church, then it would not be Protestants.

States Catholic doctrine and every pope has proclaimed in recent history that salvation is exclusive to the Catholic Church and the RCC is the only true church and body of Christ.
You may not know this or believe, but if you search and find is true, will you be true to his faith and convictions, and please join a Protestant community.

Since there is no great thing if you are Catholic or not only for what they believe, try to join a Baptist church and it was renamed with the baptism and plunges a "believer" and come back and tell his father about it. Can you say excommunication?
(For the record I am Methodist and I am fine with the baptism of infants)
