Why people follow a pagan pope?

Why Catholic cross of Christ still in it? Do not died and was resurrected three days later?
Why do Catholics call priests "father"? Is there a single "Father", GOD?
Why Catholics require you to confess your sins to a man, then that man gives absolution? "No one comes to the Father except through me" Jesus. Poser is not a man, playing God. Nobody on this earth, not even the Pope can absolve your sins. That is reserved for God and God alone.
Why do Catholics worship the Virgin Mary? She can not do anything for you. Only God can, through Jesus Christ, save yourself. Not Maria. Read the Bible. Do not just look at the words.

You asked a lot of questions so this response is quite long.
      + + The Crucifix
The most important thing Jesus did for us was die for our sins to give us the gift of eternal life.
He rose from the dead, but the increase of the dead did not open the gates of heaven for us, die for our sins, he did. The crucifix in no way denies the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the most important point in history.
The crucifix reminds us of this moment.
The following texts even suggest that Jesus wants us to lift its image:
Numbers 21:8-9 says: The LORD said to Moses: "Make a saraph and mounted on a stick, and if someone has been bitten looks, he will recover." Moses accordingly made a bronze serpent and mounted on a pole and whenever anyone who had been bitten by a snake, looked at the bronze serpent, he recovered.
And in John 3:14-15, Jesus says in the correlation: "And as Moses lifted up the image of [the snake] in the desert, so the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in he may have eternal life. "
+ + Call no man father
Matthew 23:6-9 says, "They love places of honor at banquets, seats of honor in synagogues, greetings in the markets, and the salutation 'Rabbi'. As for you, not called "Rabbi." You have but one teacher and you are all brothers. Call no one on earth your father, who have one Father in heaven. "
Are we not also called "master of none" or "doctor", which is like "rabbi" would mean?
This is the call of humility for those in leadership roles. Do not be taken literally.
We will not deny our male parent and cut the commandment to honor father and mother in half.
Some leaders of any church can fall into the madness itself as the Pharisees of Jesus' time.
      + + Confession and Reconciliation
The Bible teaches us to confess our sins to one another:
James 5:16 - Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for each other, which could be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.
Acts 19:18 - Many who had become believers came forward and openly acknowledged their past practices.
Matthew 3:5-6 - Then Jerusalem and all Judea and the region around the Jordan went out to him (John the Baptist), and were baptized by him in the Jordan River, as acknowledged their sins.
Popular Mark 1:5 - the entire region of Judea and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem went out to him (John the Baptist), and were baptized by him in the Jordan River, as acknowledged their sins.
1 Timothy 6:12 - Compete well for the faith. Possession of eternal life, which are called when you made the noble confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Numbers 5:6-7 - "Say to the Israelites: If a man (or woman) commits a foul against his neighbor and bad of him, breaking the faith in the Lord, who confesses to the wrong he has done, restore their bad assets managed in its entirety, and in addition to a fifth of its value which has offended. "
Nehemiah 9:2 - Those of Israelite descent separated from all who were of foreign origin, stood forward and confessed their sins and guilt for their parents made.
Sir 4:26 - do not be ashamed to acknowledge his guilt, but of ignorance and not be ashamed.
The Catholic Church believes that "Only God forgives sin."
When a penitent person asks God for forgiveness, his (or her) sins are immediately forgiven.
Catholics also believe that when the sins of someone who not only hurt your relationship with God, but also damage to the whole church, the body of Christ.
Jesus said, "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven ". (Matthew 16:19)
And having said this he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. Who sins you forgive they are forgiven, and whose sins you retain are retained. "(Luke 20:22-23)
The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation with a priest ordained in the name of Jesus Christ not only reconciles the sinner with God, but with the whole church, including you and me.http: / / http://www.usccb.org/catechism/ text/pt2s …
+ Mary and the saints +
Catholics do not worship the Blessed Virgin Mary. Please pray for us.
Catholics share the belief in the Communion of Saints with many other Christians, including Orthodox, Anglican, Episcopal, Methodist and Church.
The Communion of Saints is the belief that all saints are intimately related in the Body of Christ, a family. When one dies and goes to heaven, do not go to this family.
Everyone in heaven or on their way to heaven are saints, you, me, my late grandmother, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Mother Teresa.
As part of this family, you can ask your family and friends living here on earth to pray for you. Or you can ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Andrew, or your deceased grandmother living in heaven to pray for you.
Prayer to the saints in heaven is simple communication, not worship.http: / / http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1s
      + With love in Christ.

  3. NONAME says:

Do you think that pagans worship the image of a crucified man? They call themselves Father? Confess and receive absolution from a priest? Venerate the Mother of Jesus Christ?

  4. Antares says:

At one point in the near future,
people will start saying: God is God and Jesus and only Jesus was because Jesus said, I am, it doesn't necessarily mean that he was God.
As he only asked people to pray to God, not him.
So youre looking at the same time the old pagan beliefs is outdated.

  5. CJ says:

People worship idols. That's why we follow the "Pope" (false prophet)

  6. Leviatha says:

The Catholics are not pagans, who fruitcake.
They believe in the resurrection. I do not think anyone can hear - like being born again the guys like you saying that he was brought back to life for your sins "is not it?

  7. tonks_op says:

Let me think a moment. Fun-D-ist mind. Oh ya, is unclear. We must be kind to them. They are the ones who take the short bus. Trying to help understand is like expecting a cat to read. I'm not wasting my time. The man above me is right.

  8. jinengli says:

    Your confusion is fun.

  9. Jay says:

Some Christians follow a nice, clean cross. Catholics remember what had to happen in order to be washed in the blood of the lamb.
Some people can not discern the difference between "father" and "Our Father".
Some people can not understand that although the confession was said to be a priest, the priest says, "I absolve you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, so that it is God who is doing the forgiveness .
Some people constantly accuse Catholics of worshiping Mary, even Catholics who routinely deny. These people do not know the difference between "honor" someone and "cult" to someone. Jesus honored his mother. Why should we do differently? The phrase "Ave Maria" literally means "Hi, Mary." Why say "hello" is the cult of ignorance in the world?

  10. hopflowe says:

Get some education please. The Pope is not all pagans. You are so uninformed, it's pathetic.
Catholics do not worship Mary. She is venerated as the Mother of God the Son.
Guys like you give Christians a bad name.

  11. fredojr7 says:

God loves you anyway. There is something I do not understand, what is the problem with the mother of God, God chose her, not us Catholics. She is the image of the new Eve, the eve of sin came into this world and at the yes of Mary, Jesus came into this world to save us from sin. God also chose Peter, not us Catholics, and even recognized Jesus as the rock, to whom God will build the Church. "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but my Father in heaven."

So how is the Pope of a pagan? I missed that in your question.

  14. peskylis says:

I think you're a bit extreme, yourself. The Pope is not pagan. He is a human representative of God on earth. Just call me Benedict, a pagan.
