Why Protestants do not believe that the apostles were the first Catholic Bishops?
Christ gave the power of teaching, sanctifying and governing members of his Church to the Apostles, the first bishops of the Church.
San Pedro was the first head. After a miraculous escape from prison in Jerusalem, founded his headquarters in Antioch, and here the followers of Christ were called Christians. Peter made frequent missionary journeys throughout Judea, Samaria, Galilee, Asia Minor, and perhaps even Greece. Finally, fixed his headquarters in Rome. San Pedro, chaired the Council of the apostles in Jerusalem in 50 AD At the same time, beheaded St. Paul, St. Peter was crucified upside down on the Vatican Hill, Rome, 67 AD
St. John, the beloved disciple, lived at Ephesus and ruled the Church in Asia Minor. At the time of Trajan, was thrown into a cauldron of boiling oil, but was miraculously preserved. Later he was exiled to Patmos, where he had the revelation that we call the apocalypse. He died at the age of 100 years, the last of the Apostles, and the only one who did not die a martyr's death. He left his Gospel and Epistles.
James the Greater, brother of St. John, worked in Judea, and according to tradition, he traveled to Spain. It was the first of the apostles to be martyred beheaded in Jerusalem in AD 44 by Herod Agrippa.
San Mateo preached among the Ethiopians, Persians and Parthians, and was martyred in childbirth. He wrote the first of the four Gospels. James the Less was Bishop of Jerusalem. He was thrown from the pinnacle of the temple in 63 AD He left a letter. St. Andrew, brother of St. Peter, preached along the lower Danube, and was crucified in Greece. St. Thomas preached in Persia, Medea, and went so far as India. He was martyred in India, stabbed with a spear at the command of the king. St. Philip preached in Phrygia and Scythia, and was crucified in Hierapolis. St. Bartholomew preached in India, Arabia,. And Assyria. He was flayed and crucified in Armenia. St. Simon preached in northern Africa, and was martyred in Persia. St. Jude preached in Syria, and was martyred in Persia. He wrote the "Epistle". St. Matthias, chosen to take the place of Judas, he preached in Ethiopia and was martyred in Sebastopol.
St. Paul was miraculously converted (Acts 9) in 34. The Apostles all worked more abundantly. He wrote many Epistles. He is called the Apostle to the Gentiles, because he brought the Gospel to the pagan world. He traveled extensively and successively to Seleucia, Cyprus, Asia Minor, Phrygia, Galatia, Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Athens, Corinth, Miletus, and finally Rome. From Rome he went to Spain and the East, then returned to Rome where he was martyred in 67 AD
Christ intended that this power should also be exercised by his successors, the bishops of the Church.
The Apostles preached in Judea in the first Christian Pentecost. Then they dispersed in different countries of the then known world. Preached everywhere, called, and dismissed the Christian communities. They were the first bishops of the Church. "As the Father has sent me, so I send you" (John 20:21).
The apostles chose men to help them, giving them more power or less. Before you leave a place, they elected a successor, with full power (Acts 14:22). Those who received only a small part of the powers of the Apostles were called deacons. Those who have given greater power were the priests. The successors appointed to govern in place of the apostles were bishops.
Christ had given full powers to choose successors Apostles when He gave the power of his Father had given Him (John 20:21) that he wished that the Apostles must have successors to carry on the Church, which said it would last until the end of the world (Matthew 28:20). No successors of the Apostles, the Church leaders would not, and would not have lasted disorganized.

If at that time nobody would be held "Christian" holidays (Christmas, Easter, etc.) that were originally pagan. The apostles knew that God's feasts were the one who is supposed to celebrate and they did, it was observed Saturday Sabbath spoken of in the Acts of the new believers went to the synagogue on Saturday to Saturday watch and learn God's Torah. … Why not now?
I think only care that the first Protestant bishops.
Why dose a prostestant matter anyway
Simply because Jesus never taught religion, even Christianity. The man formed by all religions and legalism that goes along with it. Jesus was the first Messianic Jewish, not Catholic.
Really? So why not use those funny hats?
Answer that one, Mr. Smarty pants!
Not in the Bible. There is no hierarchy of the church in the Bible. Only a handful of disciples to spread the good news of two by two, from city to city.
Call whatever you want. You can call the original Power Rangers, if desired.
Some say that the Catholic Church did not exist until 300 years after Christ, are just the spirit of "anti-Christ at work

Jesus stary true Christian congregation. All religions of the world we have today, including Catholics, are spin offs from that. None of them teach what the Bible says and then do not live in it. Jesus identified by true Christians: They would not be part of the Worl or its policy, has a genuine love each other, have a deep respect for the Bible and really live, to be known by the name of God and use all-not specific class clergy would be preachers of the Gospel of the Kingdom. The only people who fit this description are Jehovah's Witnesses. Add the fact that they do not teach a pagan, false doctrines or artificial.
The apostles were not bishops or popes, who were apostles nothing more and nothing less. I do not believe in unbiblical beliefs, if not its stated in the Bible, not the Bible. Catholics have a huge problem with confusing the man of her church made doctrines of Scripture.
I just think everyone should focus on your relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and not spend so much time trying to figure out what the religion says so - actually, who cares. The only thing that should matter to you this day is in currently with God and their need for spiritual growth. Nothing else matters except the voice of God …
1) Why did the Protestants do not believe that the apostles were the first bishops?
Several Protestant * * to believe.
a) "Catholic" does not mean "Catholic" of course, for most Protestants
b) although the various Protestant sects which hold to the doctrine of apostolic succession * not * believe that at least some of the apostles were the first Roman Catholic bishops
2) No successors of the Apostles, the Church leaders would not, and would not have lasted disorganized.
Therefore, let me get this straight: the churches, without successors of the apostles
a) no rulers
b) are not organized
c) can not last
400 + years of Protestantism discredits this claim

All the authority given to the apostles of Christ and at least some of the special powers that are recorded in Scripture and certainly is attested by parents to Nicaea.
There is no doubt that the apostles knew that his ministry could survive his death, as it takes to be a permanent presence of life until the Parousia.
(Matthew 28:20 DRB) teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And here I am with you always, until the end of the world.
Knowing your responsibility to preserve the teaching of Christ, ordained successors give the gift of the Spirit, with episcopal consecration:
(Acts 1:8 DRB) But you shall receive power of the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.
(Act 2:4 DRB) And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues, divers, according to the Holy Spirit gave them utterance.
(Jn 20:22 DRB) When he had said this he breathed on them and said Receive the Holy Spirit.
(Jn 20:23 DRB) whose sins are forgiven, they are forgiven, whose sins are retained, they are retained.
(1 Tim 4:14 DRB) not to neglect the grace that is in you, which was given thee by prophecy with the laying of the hands of priests.
(2 Tim 1:6 DRB) For this cause I admonish you awaken the grace of God that is in thee by the imposition of my hands.
(2 Tim 1:7 DRB) For God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and sobriety.
There is no doubt that "apostolic succession" is a historical fact. Scriptures, and clearly show that Christ chose these apostles and commissioned them to establish and continue his work with his authority and ordered successors. This is the apostolic succession is the link that unites the Church to Christ. Is the Episcopal authority of Christ that leads to so many knowledgeable people to return to the Catholic faith as I am a witness.
We see those who were ordained in apostolic succession fulfilling his ministry:
(Act 20:28 DRB) Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has placed you bishops to rule the Church of God, which has bought with his own blood.
(1 Thessalonians 1:1 DRB) Paul and Silvanus and Timothy to the Church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 Thessalonians 1:2 DRB) Grace and peace to you. We thank God for you all: making a reminder that in our prayers without ceasing,
(1 Thessalonians 1:3 DRB) Be aware of the work of his faith and work and charity, and the permanent hope of our Lord Jesus Christ before God and our Father.
(1 Thessalonians 1:4 DRB) Knowing, brethren, beloved of God, your choice:
(1 Thessalonians 1:5 DRB) For our gospel has not been with you in word only, but also in power, and the Holy Spirit and in much fulness, as you know what kind of men who have been among you because you.
(1 Thessalonians 1:6 DRB) And you became followers of us and the Lord: receiving the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit:
(1 Thessalonians 1:7 DRB) that became a model for all believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
(1 Thessalonians 1:8 DRB) from which spread abroad the word of the Lord, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also everywhere: his faith, which God has left, so we need not speak anything.
(1 Thessalonians 1:9 DRB) that refer to themselves from us, how you had to enter: And how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God.
(1 Thessalonians 1:10 DRB) and wait for his Son from heaven (whom he raised from the dead), Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
(2 Tim 1:6 DRB) For this cause I admonish you awaken the grace of God that is in thee by the imposition of my hands.
(Titus 1:5 DRB) For this cause left I thee in Crete, that you want me to put in order the things that are lacking and shouldest ordain priests in every city and I have appointed thee:
(Titus 1:6 DRB) whatsoever without crime, the husband of a woman. having faithful children, not accused of riot or unruly.
(Titus 1:7 DRB) For a bishop must be without crime, as the steward of God: not proud, not subject to anger, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not greedy of filthy lucre:
(Titus 1:8 DRB), but given to hospitality, gentle, sober, just, holy, continent:
(Titus 1:9 DRB) embracing the faithful word which is according to doctrine, that may be able to exhort in sound doctrine and to convince those who contradict.
(1 Tim 4:14 DRB) not to neglect the grace that is in you, which was given thee by prophecy with the laying of the hands of priests.
(2 Tim 1:6 DRB) For this cause I admonish you awaken the grace of God that is in thee by the imposition of my hands.
St. Paul will take charge of St. Timothy on who is a qualified candidate for coordination:
(1 Tim 3:1 DRB) is a faithful saying: If a man desire the office of bishop desires a good work.
(1 Tim 3:2 DRB) It is therefore a bishop must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, well-behaved, chaste, given to hospitality, a teacher,
(1 Tim 3:3 DRB) not given to much wine, not violent, but modest, not quarrelsome, not greedy, but
(1 Tim 3:4 DRB) that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all honesty.
(1 Tim 3:5 DRB) But if a man knows his own household, how will take care of the church of God?
(1 Tim 3:6 DRB) is not a neophyte: lest, inflated with pride, do not fall into the condemnation of the devil.
(1 Tim 3:7 DRB) also should have a good testimony of them who do not: it does not fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
(1 Tim 5:22 DRB) does not impose hands lightly on any man, neither be partaker of other men's sins. Keep yourself chaste.
We also find in Scripture that the apostolic succession was determined and varied functions:
(DRB 1 Cor 12:27) Now ye are the body of Christ and members of members.
(1 Cor 12:28 DRB) And indeed, God has placed some in the church first apostles, prophets, secondly, thirdly doctors: after that miracles: then the graces of healings, assistance, governments, kinds of tongues, interpretation of speeches.
(1 Cor 12:29 DRB) Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all doctors?
(Eph 4:11 DRB) And he gave some apostles, some prophets, evangelists, and some others, and some pastors and teachers:
(Eph 4:12 DRB) For the perfecting of the saints, by the word of ministry, for building up the body of Christ:
It reminds us also of the founding of the Church:
(Eph 2:19 DRB) And now, who are no more strangers and foreigners, but are citizens with the saints and the family of God,
(Eph 2:20 DRB), built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone:
This is only one part of Scripture speaks of the apostolic succession and the rights, the need and the authority of the office.

Because they are not … Roman Catholic worship not begin until the second century … 300 …. something
The true Church was commissioned by God on the day of Pentecost after Christ's ascension into heaven … N papists around at that point …
Yes, Yes, and Pope Alexander lived in a cemetery in the fight against demons and swimming in a crocodile infested river by hitting them with the word of God …..
The truth is that the volumes which they depend for information are filled with stories of smoked fish, having been raised from the dead and dead Jews running around Jerusalem proclaiming the gospel …. until you can find a book that includes dancing, magic or transmutation of the river, is false to say that they are historical documents.
While I agree that if you are going to be a Christian, you also might be one of the original creators of Christianity. It seems quite clear that the Roman Church's Gospels literalized around 300AD.
I see no evidence at all that have given here that none of the apostles approved of the Catholic Church more than any other church.
Do not think any of this is by inheritance. It is through faith in Jesus Christ, and holding fast to the Word of God that makes a church a church. The left where it refers not to a Church of God in everything ….. no matter they intend to claim as their own.
The Roman Catholic Church is a very serious error in a number of key issues. The things I assure you that Paul never would have approved (in fact, was often specifically on these issues before there was such a church). How are they thinking they can claim him ….. and then directly to do what he said is not going to do?
You asked.
It is interesting that James the brother of Jesus, in fact became the leader of the early church at the time that Paul and Barnabas returned from their first missionary journey. His was the last word given when the four rules were written to the Gentiles.
Look, if you want to do them (the Apostles) in the first bishops, okay. But you Catholics constitute the hierarchy is fine. Just remember that the kingdom of heaven may look very different to their land in place, so do not be too attached.
Christianity would not have survived had it not been adopted by Rome as a way to control people through fear and ignorance.
They were Christians killing for sport, the use of their belief system as a tool for world domination.
Of course, even brutally tortured and killed anyone who disagrees with their beliefs.
(Edit: wow Marty - that is f ** kin sad)
The Romans did not accept Christ as Savior til later. They were killing the apostles! …. All were in hiding! The Romans took over Antioch and dogmatic fact. They have been controlling. (Not the same teachings that the apostles taught. Read Acts)
There will be a particular church that is saved. The followers of Jesus who are obedient to His Word, His Church.
