Why Protestants do not believe that the apostles were twelve of the first bishops of the Catholic Church?

Christ gave the power of teaching, sanctifying and governing members of his Church to the Apostles, the first bishops of the Church.
San Pedro was the first head. After a miraculous escape from prison in Jerusalem, founded his headquarters in Antioch, and here the followers of Christ were called Christians. Peter made frequent missionary journeys throughout Judea, Samaria, Galilee, Asia Minor, and perhaps even Greece. Finally, fixed his headquarters in Rome.
San Pedro, chaired the Council of the apostles in Jerusalem in 50 AD At the same time, beheaded St. Paul, St. Peter was crucified upside down on the Vatican Hill, Rome, 67 AD
St. John, the beloved disciple, lived at Ephesus and ruled the Church in Asia Minor.
At the time of Trajan, was thrown into a cauldron of boiling oil, but was miraculously preserved. Later he was exiled to Patmos, where he had the revelation that we call the apocalypse. He died at the age of 100 years, the last of the Apostles, and the only one who did not die a martyr's death. He left his Gospel and Epistles.
James the Greater, brother of St. John, worked in Judea, and according to tradition, he traveled to Spain.
It was the first of the apostles to be martyred beheaded in Jerusalem in AD 44 by Herod Agrippa.
San Mateo preached among the Ethiopians, Persians and Parthians, and was martyred in childbirth. He wrote the first of the four Gospels.
James the Less was Bishop of Jerusalem. He was thrown from the pinnacle of the temple in 63 AD He left a letter.
St. Andrew, brother of St. Peter, preached along the lower Danube, and was crucified in Greece.
St. Thomas preached in Persia, Medea, and went so far as India. He was martyred in India, stabbed with a spear at the command of the king.
St. Philip preached in Phrygia and Scythia, and was crucified in Hierapolis.
St. Bartholomew preached in India, Arabia,. And Assyria. He was flayed and crucified in Armenia.
St. Simon preached in northern Africa, and was martyred in Persia.
St. Jude preached in Syria, and was martyred in Persia. He wrote the "Epistle".
St. Matthias, chosen to take the place of Judas, he preached in Ethiopia and was martyred in Sebastopol.
St. Paul was miraculously converted (Acts 9) in 34. The Apostles all worked more abundantly. He wrote many Epistles.
He is called the Apostle to the Gentiles, because he brought the Gospel to the pagan world. He traveled extensively and successively to Seleucia, Cyprus, Asia Minor, Phrygia, Galatia, Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Athens, Corinth, Miletus, and finally Rome. From Rome he went to Spain and the East, then returned to Rome where he was martyred in 67 AD
Christ intended that this power should also be exercised by his successors, the bishops of the Church.
The Apostles preached in Judea in the first Christian Pentecost. Then they dispersed in different countries of the then known world. Preached everywhere, called, and dismissed the Christian communities. They were the first bishops of the Church.
"As the Father has sent me, so I send you" (John 20:21).
The apostles chose men to help them, giving them more power or less. Before you leave a place, they elected a successor, with full power (Acts 14:22).
Those who received only a small part of the powers of the Apostles were called deacons. Those who have given greater power were the priests. The successors appointed to govern in place of the apostles were bishops.
Christ had given full powers to choose successors Apostles when He gave the powers of his Father had given Him (John 20:21)
It was his wish that the Apostles must have successors to carry on the Church, which said it would last until the end of the world (Matthew 28:20). No successors of the Apostles, the Church leaders would not, and would not have lasted disorganized.

If we accept that, then that woould come to the conclusion that Jesus founded the Catholic Church and would have to be Catholic

  2. Karma KISS says:

I agree, these were the 12 apostles, but I disagree with any organized religion, Satan infiltrated Christianity after the apostles were martyred, "Satan now" turns "through Scriptures organized religion.

Do not you read all your stuff, to answer the main question:
Why a Protestant to believe in something made from CRC in the first place?

  4. bugYA says:

Could it be because the Catholic Church was not founded until many years after the Apostles?

  5. mr.indec says:

Because someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the Catholic Church as we know it began with Constantine.

  6. Bibigirl says:

Because Jesus was not Catholic, which is the first track. Jesus is a Messianic Jew.

Do you have a question or preaching?

First, in Matthew's Gospel, Jesus speaks to the Pharisees referred to the first disciples as priests. When asked why they were picking corn, Jesus makes a reference that priests are exempt from the law. Again Jesus said to St. Peter, that for him the keys to the kingdom of heaven would be given, the keys are the doctrines and teachings. He said to Peter that He would build his Church. The disciples were given the authority to forgive sins, which also applied to the land would take place in heaven. The word Catholic simply means universal, and those living in sub-apostolic age, he taught and lived with his disciples, wrote much and they say the Sacraments, Eucharist, confession and so on. Those things that were taken by Protestants through the Reformation. The first church, founded by Jesus himself, Jesus promised that he would never be beaten. The gates of hell shall not prevail, though the Scripture speaks of a time when it appears this way, ie a chase, resulting in clean, but then the words of our Lord, let us know the gates of hell are trying to destroy the Church. Jesus himself told his disciples that the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven is given to the disciples, the early fathers, and therefore talked about everything people in parables. Regarding the comment that asks if it is preached, it seemed out of order to ask a question and give the story can hardly be called preaching. Josephus, who was not a Christian says that the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70 was God's punishment for the murder of James the Just. Now, James the Just was a Christian leader, therefore, Josephus not only knew well the Christians, but believed that God punished the Jews for killing one of them. Protestants Catholics do not know, and have some strange notions about them. The reform, then came a lot of different churches, I now believe that there are around 3,000 according to an encyclopedia that I have. They do not see that Catholic means universal and that much practice, like the sacraments do not take into account, came from those who were being slaughtered by Rome to be Christian. They have themselves above these martyrs and over who lived and were students of the disciples themselves. They do not understand the Scriptures.

I think it's interesting that Protestants seem to ignore the fact that Jesus was very specific about the fact that he has not come to destroy Judaism / "La Ley", but to fulfill it:
"Think not that I came to abolish the Law or the prophets: I came not to destroy but to fulfill." Matthew 5:17
Given that Jews were priests and worshiped in a temple or synagogue (quite ornate buildings), it seems unlikely that Jesus (who do not want to destroy Judaism) said that priests and buildings were decorated now outlawed.
Besides, in the Acts of the Apostles, is also very clear about the fact that the early Christians continued to go to the temple - that is, not rejected the idea of priests or ornately decorated buildings of worship.

    Simple.
We are not Catholics. This was one reason that there are different groups of Christian denominations. I know you say that Catholics are the original Christians and other denominations split from the Catholic Church because the Catholic Church (IMO), doing things as they advanced fans and saying that this is how it would be. The Protestants did not like the idea because they have stricter adherence to the Bible, and separated from the Catholic Church.
I go to Mass every week with my mate, who is Catholic, and we hash this on numerous occasions. The reasons for the state, plus dozens of others, are reasons why there are so many Christian denominations, and the reason that all denominations of Christianity will meet again: interpretation of the Bible and the Church hierarchy. .

  11. The Naked Truth says:

Because there is no evidence that any of this really happened, outside the legends written by Eusebius of Caesarea, which was known (and admitted) to fabricate lies to the "good of humanity."

  12. Cheekote says:

not where they have copied and pasted indicated that they were bishops. What part of "apostle" does not understand? Do you have a problem understanding?
Why not have respect for the way God wanted it to be.
      Jesus Christ!

  13. Anne says:

If Christ had meant such a thing would have been crystal clear about it. The word pope is not in the Bible. The twelve apostles are not mentioned even once as bishops.
