  1. sharnaja says:

It is a system of mind control

  2. interest says:

Most of them were his attempt to answer the many questions that create and not answered by the Bible.

  3. Father Creepy says:

Because Catholics do not believe the Bible is the end all is all. The Catholic Church was without a Bible of 4 hundred years before its creation.

Baptism: Jesus said "Suffer the little children come unto me". (Luke 18:16)
Peter said: Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and all who are far away, every one whom the Lord our God calls to him. " (Acts 2:38-39)
Also entire families were baptized (Acts 16:15) "Not all adults in the household, but not children."

Saturday: Catholics observe a day of worship and rest each week (at least we're supposed to). We have moved from the Jewish Sabbath (Saturday) until the day of the Resurrection (Sunday) in honor of Christ being raised from the dead. You believe that Jesus rose from the dead, right? Do you think that is worth celebrating? Do you think that is worth celebrating every week? Catholics!
Commandments are all wack off replacing wrote in his own words, etc.: Not true. We have exactly the same text of the commandments of our Bible as it does in yours. You are obviously confusing the abbreviated "easy to memorize" lists the commands that are not complete for you, either. So I also have a version of the words removed, if you want to be honest about it. Anyway, the essence of the matter with the two shorter versions is that they number a little different. We combine the No. 1 and No. 2 in one because "I am the Lord your God … Have no other gods before me "and" Do not worship idols "are more or less the same idea. Then take your # 10 and separately in two, because "You shall not covet your neighbor's wife" and "You shall not covet your neighbor's goods" are two very different types of greed. Unless you belong to some kind of cult that thinks that wives are the property?

priest claim to be God - not true. Who said this was a lie.
[The priests say] forgive sins, I suppose - Jesus gave his apostles the ability to pronounce a person forgiven in his name in John 20:21-23. If you do not like it, take it with Jesus.
However, Catholics believe that Jesus is forgiveness. The priest only tells us that Jesus is doing.

Mary without sin: Catholics believe that Mary needed a Savior, like the rest of us, but we believe that Mary was his salvation in the beginning of his life instead of the end of it, in order to prepare for the vast task of being the mother of Christ. Imagine if it had been a sinner in this paper - pride, greed, sloth. It would have been a farce.
We know that Mary had received the fullness of the grace of Christ, who freed from sin, because when the angel who spoke to her in Luke 1:28, says, "Hail, Mary, you who have received the fullness of grace "(or" Thou art the fullness of grace ") - which is what is in Greek. A lot of Protestants are neglected texts with translation, and which present their own doctrine. They say, "Hail Mary, one most favored" or something soft like that. But if you were to study Greek and read Greek, which would be the combination indicates that the "fullness of grace" is a title, and is one that nobody else was ever given in Scripture.

Purgatory is no doubt in the Bible. It is the application of the grace of Christ the sinner's soul after death, so that person can enter heaven. It is necessary because the Bible says: "Nothing impure can enter heaven (Revelation 21:27) and" For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. " (Romans 3:23)

  5. Member of the SPOA says:

The Catholic religion is a false religion, but it's part of what Revelation calls the great Babylon. The empire of false religion.
      Jesus says in Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone saying to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name? "23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew! Depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
      And Revelation 22: 18,19 says:
18 "I am witnessing everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone makes an addition to these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this roll, 19 and if anyone has anything away roll the words of this prophecy, God shall take away his part far from the tree of life and the holy city, things which are written about this shift.

  6. Sam says:

Because the Bible is interpreted in different ways and arguments against modern controls should be formulated.

  7. Hogie says:

It is not just another religion based on physical things, except the spiritual.
For example, focus on water baptism is immersion, ignoring what Paul wrote, one faith - one baptism, and that is the baptism of the Spirit, not water.
There is nothing "magical" about water baptism. Those who believe the gospel receive the Holy Spirit - Baptism in the Spirit, regardless of whether one suffers water baptism.

  8. krystal2 says:

The apostle Paul is responsible for most of the changes. If the true religion as taught by Christ, then the Church tell people not to eat pork or anything from anywhere on a pig, because it is dirty, not kosher. Jewish dietary law would apply, but Paul has changed all that after Jesus ascended to heaven again.

  9. Central N.Y. Guy says:

Because Catholics have their own Bible. It is very similar to our Bible, but with more added to it .. Most of what they believe is incompatible with the Bible by Christians the Bible everyday use ..
      God bless you!

Anyway, raising many points, and I'm sure all of them are biblical, because I have read and talked to them about my Mennonite mother in law on several occasions. She is a very uplifting, and I miss her a lot. He's having a very difficult time right now. My father-in-law is bedridden, and she is the only care for him. They live so far from us! Please pray for her.
I will star your question to see if Father Joe will have a go at this too.
(Incidentally, I know that Catholic principles baptized by immersion. St Vladimir across the country, baptized in the Dnipro River! Circa 988 AD)

  11. Daniel says:

When the Catholic Church tried to convert pagans to incorporate some of their ideas in putting them in the fold.
One example is purgatory. The savages of the British Isles had a concept of purgatory in his belief. The missionaries, in an attempt to win them married their ideas with yours. The problem is, over time it bled again in the rest of the church.
The idea of infant baptism came from the mistaken idea that baptism is necessary for the removal of sins for salvation, and because people wanted to baptize infant mortality as soon as possible to cover their sins.
The Catholic Church instituted the Sunday despite the claims of some people. Sunday worship began long before the Catholic Church began in the 4th century. because of the persecution of Jews. Jews were angered when Christians gathered in their Sabbath, and even violent, and the change was a strategic one of the early church for security reasons.
Nothing in Scripture moves on Saturday to Sunday. The RAC approved a law on judising not the Sabbath, but for worship on Sunday but it was common practice for a long time before the Catholic Church was formed in the 300.
A lot of their stuff has just developed in medieval times of ignorance, when people have strange ideas about things and after his disciples took him even further.
As Mary is sinless. Someone thought that if Maria had sinned, Jesus would happen. It is not something discussed in the Bible, men only reason these things on their minds. Then others came along and said that while Mary's mother, and her mother before her, etc, also had to be without sin. It's just ridicuous.
For many centuries the RCC discouraged people from reading the Bible for themselves, because they wanted people to get their own ideas, but wanted people to follow the line of the church. Also, wanted people to be dependent on the Church and salvation, forgiveness, etc., became part of the institution.

Priests in no way claim to be God!
Jeez .. Please, learn about Catholicism before asking a stupid question.
      - Edit —
      Here ..
Acts 22:16 - Ananias tells Saul, "Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins."
John 3:5 - Jesus answered, Verily, verily I say unto you, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit can not enter the kingdom of God.
Romans 6:4 - For we are buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ has risen from the dead … we too might walk in newness of life.

  14. Terry L says:

Well, it depends on his theology and his interpretation of the text. I am a Protestant, but I understand many of the Catholic doctrines and how they came about and I have no problem with them. I think we can be really small in our religious prejudices want everyone to walk lock step exactly what we believe and it is not necessary.

  15. dukefent says:

All religions are manmade and therefore incorrect. Presumably, God (if any), being all wise, it takes into account when judging people by their merits instead of the symbols of their worship.

  16. cashelma says:

To believe that the Bible is our only source of Christian truth is unbiblical and illogical.
Our Lord founded a Church (Matthew 16:18-19), not a book that was to be the pillar and foundation of truth.
Catholics recognize the Scriptures more apostolic tradition, as manifested in the living magisterium of the Catholic Church, which was assigned to the oral teachings of Jesus and the apostles with the authority to interpret Scripture correctly.

  17. morkie says:

The Bible was formed from the tradition of the Catholic Church, some 400 years after Christ died and rose from the dead. The tradition of previous Chruch to the Bible, and any other authority as the Bible comes from the pre-existent authority of the Catholic Church. There were hundreds of writings about Christ when the Bible was compiled, and the Church (through its priests and bishops) that the selected texts were divinely inspired. When you say that the Church follows the Bible, which is putting the cart before the horse. The Bible is consistent with the Church because the Church before the Bible and from Church tradition that formed the Bible.

  18. Taylor's Dad says:

You are criticizing what they do not understand. John the Baptist was formed by Catholics? You prefer the words of the commandments written by someone else 100 years ago? Christ said: "whose sins you forgive they are forgiven, whose singing retain, they are retained?"
Each religion has its traditions and practices, some of which come directly from the Bible and some of which do not. If you do not accept the Catholic practices and teachings, then do not follow. But do not criticize what you do not understand. That's not a sign of intelligence, is a sign of ignorance.

  19. James Watkin says:

My favorite was that Mary was a virgin til Death. Do you know any husbands who put up with that?

  20. D.R. says:

if you want to do more research, you find that baptism and the Sabbath are biblical. For other questions, (have them) I seem to talk to Catholic friends who really know the answers is very helpful …

  21. gertysto says:

Because they are a "fake religion". It is man! <')))><

  22. Edward says:

because Catholics are the number 1

  23. protoham says:

Because the Catholic Church wants power and money. The power to send to heaven or hell if they so wished. Does not it seem odd that believe they have to control. This is why Martin Luther posted his letter on the door. So they sent him to hell when he died, after he rescinded. It seems pretty clear to me. Ever wonder why the book of Thomas was not included in the Bible. The Catholic Church is a religion manipulated. And Paul was the master of manipulation.
