I'm pretty sure that the Vatican said, I do not know the official explanation.

  1. HOOAH! It's an Army Thing says:

"Also, do not permit a woman to teach or have authority over man. Instead, it is to be quiet. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived. It is the woman who was deceived and became a transgressor of the law. " (I Timothy 2:12-14)

  2. Elizabet says:

They are men and are afraid to let women be equal.

  3. Tally says:

Jesus did not choose any women to be apostles. Scripture and Catholic tradition does not support women as priests, but there are other roles that women have made significant contributions to Christianity in the past 2,000 years.

  4. Dramafre says:

Because all decisions are taken by this organization age unmarried men.

There is no reason to keep women from the priesthood. The Catholic Church has always been oriented to men. Women have always been seconds. Because the original church women eliminated as much as possible of the Bible. Jesus loved women. He listened and were among his followers. I also believe that in the early church that were written from the stories of Christ, as much as possible. But remember that women at the crucifixion and the exception of his brother John were only women. And the woman discovered her body disappeared and appeared at the first women. I think I should tell you something. So the answer is that the men wanted all power. And that still exists today.
By the summer — No place in the Bible tells us that the church leader should be a man. Where'd you get that???

  6. nonna57 says:

Because the Catholic Church uses the Scriptures as an example. All the apostles of Jesus were men, not women. They were the first priests. Jesus told Peter that he is the rock that the church will be built upon.

  7. Brad says:

because God gave the oaths of men and women.
11in the Lord, however, the woman is not independent of man nor is man independent of woman. 12 For as woman came from man, so man is born of woman. But everything comes from God
      1 Corinthians 11:11-12

It shows how the leg of the Catholic Church was (and is)! In the Catholic Church to hide the truth and buying time to rewrite their laws, because Galileo discovered planets.
Here's your answer about women priests here in detail … http://sycophants.info/women-priests.htm
Where the hell in the Bible says women can not be priests in the Catholic church? Indeed, the Bible was edited and Chopper and many sections had removed and disposed of before it was "liberated".
A saint (and I say this lightly) suggests that it is "better" for a man who celebate and preach the word of God. - Well, that's good, but not mandatory. When ar ETHE women priests?
The Catholic church is a bunch of sexists.

    Control.
The Council of Trent (1545-1564) placed the Bible on its list of banned books, and forbade anyone to read the Bible without a license from the Roman Catholic bishop or inquisitor. The Council added these words: "If someone dares to read or keep in possession of the book without that license, you can not receive absolution until he has given up his ordinary."

  15. Da Ben Dan says:

    its sexist.

  16. tonalc1 says:

    Here's his explanation:
While women could publicly pray and prophesy in church (1 Cor. 11:1-16), could not teach or have authority over a man (1 Tim. 2:11-14), since these two essential functions the clergy. Nor can women publicly question or challenge the teaching of the clergy (1 Cor. 14:34-38).
Basically, in the beginning was a departure from the pagan religions and goddess worship, and the beginning of the oppression of women, who had great power as a result of these religions.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church:
The Lord Jesus chose men to form the college of the twelve apostles and the apostles did the same when they chose collaborators to succeed in his ministry.
The Church recognizes herself to be bound by this decision by the Lord Himself. For this reason the ordination of women is not possible.

in the Christian religion, women has risen to the call of God. I am the wife of a pastor, who can also teach and preach a message, God instructs me.
if men will not rise to the call of God, which is increasingly willing and able to be used, surely God will use them. God says, if not worship me, I'll have the rocks cry out and worship me.
