No, Catholics do not worship Mary. However, the use of Mary statuesand icons for use in intercessional prayer. Catholics believe that if they pray to a saint, a saint who can hear your prayer and to intercede on his behalf, and that is how they pray to Mary. Not cultured, but the prayers for assistance.
